Demand Management is something which is often best done with tea leaves and chicken blood. Whilst generally Apple gets it right, last year it overestimated demand for the iPhone X (after the initial explosive enthusiasm)...and in 2014 massively underestimated demand for the iPhone 6 Plus. My bet is this year they will do somewhere closer to 90 million units.

What developed apple?
Apart from paying some stupid advertising anywhere around the globe bbecause without advertising noone would buy apple.
In case of xiaomi its sells it self just because price for a real flagship is such low is irresistible.
Apple have so high expenses despite its made in china by foxconn. Most of them are for advertising. As we know from a Jobs movie apple is company which doesnt have problems to pay some movie television or radio star several millions to do marketing for their products. But for what sake? Advertising or not price is the most important.
Mi 8 Explorer is an outstanding phone for an irresistible price. Where others needs advertising Xiaomi is able to sell without it. The price is best advertising. And they know how to make a phone which sells like hot french bagguetes.

... moreAre you actually this daft? Samsung has a picture-recognizer that can get tricked by a printed image. It's useless. Apple has actual 3D-mapping technology that's secure. Microsoft had infrared face scanning that was even better, but sadly very slow. They're very different technologies, and Apple is so far the only one that has managed to implement something that's fast and secure.
I also said nothing about notches. And nobody has made something akin to the Taptic Engine, force touch or technique to fold the display at the bottom to remove the bezel. It's all Apple.
I also said Apple is ONE of the largest patent holders in the world, not the largest. Perhaps English is a second language to you, but those words matter a lot.

2. ... more2- Its a first gen product. Nobody remember the criticism to the first FPS on the 5S? It was called slow (by all the android community) compared to pin or even patron unlock. That's the fact.
4- When everybody do the BtS ratio math, always forgot to take the size of the phone into account. Its the smaller of the bunch, so even a 1mm thicker bezel will increase dramatically the BtS ratio. Not to mention the notch take away more ratio than anybody else because of the 3D scanning sensors, it's even worst with the Xiaomi as that thing have a chin...
