I think the decision to make most of the improvements in speed is a nice direction , It is always good to improve and perfect current functional software instead of delivering "Buggy Gimmicks" every year just for the sake of Headlines.

Some of these features should have been introduced years ago like group facetime or group notifications. Most of the stuff is under the hood anyway.

Others: Ability to hide the notch just like on Android phones

Or optimize everything to make the notch look inexistent, like making a wallpaper to hide it, apps don't take the full screen, etc.
