Try updating your phone over wifi. Also, i think you can only try to update your phone once per day.

Well I Have The Sony Xperia pro And Wondered Why I Had No Video Calling Either, And i Found Out That All Phones With A Front Facing Camera Have The Ability To Make Video Calling Over 3G But It Has To Be Enabled By Your Service Provider And it Costs 50 Cents A Min In Canada.

just updated my Arc to FW 4.0.1.A.0.283.. it brings all the said features of GB 2.3.4 plus the folders now look like folders on the iPhone, with icons of the apps in it. the 3d sweep panorama is good, and the crt screen animation is gone, it's replaced by a "fading" animation. XD

I tried my Sony Ericsson pc companion but it said your phone is up to date, although the last time I updated it was at least a month ago...

To everyone out there reading this,
I have heard that one can't make normal video calls from recently released SE phones? My question to the owners is:
                              1. Does this update brings normal video calling facility (using one's phone number, not using any sort of app or internet connection) to the phone finally?
                              2. If not, then should I expect any software update from SE in the future to fix this?
                              3. Are Neo V and Neo same processing and performance wise (apart from camera) and is 512mb RAM enough for such a phone for moderately high use?

This is awesome news by the way!

SE are really ahead all major competitors right now regarding updating their software. I always knew they had it in them, they just needed to be more organized and focused and shoot! They did it.

People who speak boast about there dual core processor... what ever the things you do with a dual core processor, we do the same with a single core... just having something makes no sense if you don't have any use with it
