Finally someone takes the xiamo route and creates nice designs. Still only import phones, but hell they are far ahead of Samapple and Huawei.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2018I loled hard at your comment. The phone is a 19:9 aspect ratio. If anything it is going to be ... more77mm is alot, you can't hold that comfortably for longer times with one hand.. and i dont have small hands either..
I had xiaomi mi 5plus for a while with ~75mm and I know what I'm saying.. 70mm is as max as it gets to do 1 hand gestures.

the reason i dislike recent trend are because the front has both chin and notch. why can't oems just pick one?

If it turns out to be a reality, Vivo Next S for $700 ,I'll just forgo oneplus 6 and buy the vivo NEX S. They have taken 10 steps ahead of Samsung and Apple who are stocked with rubbish designs for a $1000

Oppaii, 11 Jun 2018Yes, but in just years or maybe months that uniqueness will vanish.Considering this guy is the first phone to honestly challenge the Xiaomi Mi MIX and it still had to basically copy it to do it I'm pretty sure Vivo's going to have a good run with this device. Mi MIX came out way back in 2016 and only right now has it been challenged by another company. And that's not to say NEX can even keep up with MIX's successor the MIX 2S which currently has one of the best cameras on the market and a durable ceramic body.

ALMBO6, 11 Jun 2018Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer is more interesting. Let's wait and see how much it'll cost when it's out. At least NEX doesn't have a dumb notch. Sure Xiaomi's the one that actually invented it but that still didn't mean Xiaomi should have produced the device. I mean the reason they didn't when it was called the mix2 was because of poor feedback from users. That didn't change for mi8. Only thing that changed was that Apple took their design and marketed it like some hit. China has this sad issue about not having enough confidence in themselves and having way too much for western companies.
But with NEX out soon Xiaomi will probably get the wake up call it needs. Mix3 should be really special.

Which is funny since they were also the ones complaining about China not being innovative.
But I agree with you. The Mi MIX is the first and so far only phone that I've had to keep off of max volume because it was just too loud. Since there's no actual speaker your ear is literally being blasted by the phone surface. It's like being next to the speaker at a rock concert. It doesn't matter if you are standing behind that speaker. That sound's going to be loud.

Remember this whole bezel-less thing came from there and they've been one upping themselves ever since. What do we have here? A phone where the sides literally dip making every single movie or game you play bleed at the edges. Or a phone where the screen has a very noticable chunk missing from one side. Even Apple fans had problems justifying that one.

Not a great direction for any smart companies to go. Besides Vivo already has an iPhone competitor as do many Chinese OEMs. They aren't going to sell nearly as well as this guy. See MIX 2S sells out again with the release of Mi 8.

If this is a real 710 benchmark, it only equals the SD 660. That can't be right. I'd expect the 710 to be 400-600 points more in multi-core scoring.
