A moment of silence for everyone who bought the P20 Lite. Unfortunately, I bought the Mate 10 Lite which doesn't even have a gyroscope so I can't laugh. Still pretty satisfied with my device though, works well, no slow downs, and that GPU Turbo Boost is especially going to help. Probably also gonna get Android P.

        AnonD-594740, 11 Jun 2018Why? The 710 only uses 2 x A73 + 6 x A53, just like the exynos. If anything they can just ... moreSD710 utilizes 2x Kryo 360 Gold (A75-based) clocked at 2.2 GHz, plus 6x Kryo 360 Silver (A55-based) clocked at 1.7 GHz. To tackle the power and efficiency of the SD710, Kirin 710 should use 4x A73 cores + 4x A53 cores, then clocked at decent speed (e.g 1.8 or 2 GHz)

Ronald, 11 Jun 2018I will most likely getting one IF they will include 5G Network in it. Let's see. 5G is unlikely since it's a midrange SoC and would undercut flagships.
Also by preliminary specs and naming, performance will be quite lower than SD710; They'd call it something like 720 if there was even the slightest hint of matching SD710 performance but 710 implies a much lower performance while they will hope for it to be mistaken for an SD710.
That said, it will probably be smaller and cheaper and OK for like 95% of people who don't game heavily, just like the kirin659.

I'm pretty sure my parents will give 0 s***s about framerate in games. All they need is something that can run WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook and YouTube at a reasonable price.

That's the whole reason why Xiaomi and Huawei are so popular. (I'm well aware Xiaomi tend to stick to Qualcomm)

Kiyasuriin, 11 Jun 2018Yep, I think the same tbhOf course, if they want a Mali GPU, they gotta choose a decent one, and not a one that is underwhelming (Which is by the way the history of mid-end flagships, where the GPU is always a few times more underwhelming as compared to its CPU)

I hope it's not like Samsung's Exynos 7885 structure. It must compete with the real Snapdragon 710 so that this SoC will have true potential on new midrange phones.

Ouch, Huawei is run out of names to put in that SoC. Then copy the name os Snapdragon so easy, but one thing i belive it wont be better than the Snapdragon...

Huawei deserve some push of ears by someone but no one care about.

In this year they launched the same or more amount of devices than sammycrappy, and i ask why?! Because all of the mid range/low end Huawei have the same 659 inside...

Ok, Huawei still better than sammycrappy BUT is turn in a way they may fail and then i hope Xiaomi take place and grow more than Huawei.

I dont need 10 devices looking all the same, Huawei is taking the Sammycrappy and CrApple way and it will end ugly if this continues.
