They had nice recognizable design and it would be enough to simply narrow the bezels in them, but no, they had to make them more like competition, just so there is more nearly identically looking phones on the market.
About the camera - I'm not even adding anything, you've said it all.

Camera, owning biggest camera lens maker in smartphone industry and having worst result in own smartphones.
Less bezzel, I skip this one, there's nothing to about :)
Yeah yeah SONY fans satart calling me Sammy fan or iSheep thought I ain't fan of any manufacturer on this planet.

I also like to know if sammy already produces a phone with built in x-ray, ultrasound, ct scan and microscope cuz i believe their good at that area. Hehehehehehhe.

Had earlyer every Samsung flagship from Galaxy S until S6, had Iphone 4, 4s, 5 and now SE. To this point now have XZ1 Compact and talking about battery life, speed, conectivity, its size is the best phone I ever had, despite problems with rooting and get stuck with green pictures, despite it- XZ1 Compact is the best phone for my needs and I would definitelly recomend Sony.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2018So true. And they are still stuck on LCDs everyone has moved on to oleds Their biggest blockage of using (O)LED screen . Well because , there's no WRGB OLED or Crystal LED or even JOLED yet in production for big scale or at least , smartphone scale . Most OLED produced today is Diamond Pentile Display OLED , mostly known are LG and Samsung , which wasn't the thing Sony want it right now .

Now they've hired them... morecome to think of it, the design is reminiscent of lumia phones. yes, ive owned lumia 830. i just feel bad for sony, theyre build is really top notch but its just the design and new features that they seem to be left far behind from competitors.
