Superb looking screen, but there is no way this a decent IP rating.
Not totally sold on the flip out camera, it'll get snapped.
Why don't they just have the camera hidden in some gel across the top then push it up when you need it, or angle it from the top?
All this notch madness, no ones innovating lol, this is the most innovative and it looks like grandads compact camera.

With Face Unlock becoming better and better, that front camera will be used more regularly.

The APEX was shawcased as able to recognise the fingerprint from anywhere on the bottom third of the screen, right?
But I am guessing this one is the same as the X21 UD.
Though still vivo hasn't dropped to Lenovo's levels in misleading customers. A great phone at decent price.

Pixel ... moreOh do not misunderstand, I think that it is great they have reduced the bezels. The complaint is the misleading material. They should have a beating for that, just like the Z5 are getting.
I'm not sure the pop-up camera is such a good idea though, unless it is outright detachable, as it could easily take a beating if released unintentionally. At the least it should have a mechanical lock for users that never/rarely use a narcie camera
...And rather than the odd aspect ratio they could have shortened the device.

Oppaii, 12 Jun 2018The front is great but the rear design... Ughh. I actually like the rear design, reminds me of a Moto, nice curve and some grippy pattern to make it easier to hold without a 3rd party case.

My impressions of the device:
- Screen-to-body ratio is an impressive 86%. This is the first time a phone has gone over 85% in REAL screen area as a percentage of total surface area. So kudos!
- While we are on the topic of screen, I am not really a fan of such stretched displays. 18:9 was fine, but it has gone to 19.3:9. A majority of the media content is in 16:9 format, and even on 18:9 displays, it looks weird to me. Also, the display is 388 ppi. If it is RGB then okay, but if it is PenTile then it might be a cause of concern to some.
- Due to extra tall ratio, the device measures 16.2 cm... that is too long.
- Looking further than the display, it has run-of-the-miss 2018 flagship specs. However camera doesn't appear flagship grade.

Hmm. This thing is beautiful from the front if the real handset looks exactly like the render.
But the back.. come on. Cant they put some RnD budget just to design the back instead of looking like other with no distinction??
The back is so uglg because it has been used repeatedly on other chinese smartphones.
I dont want a 700 dollar phone which cant be distinguished from other 100 or 200 dollar phones.. just no

But today it is only Z5 that gets a beating for it...

Dimensions of the phone are 162x77 mm
Pixel pitch of the display is 65.5 um.
So dimensions of the display are 151.7mm x 70.74mm
So side bezels total 6.2-6.3mm, pretty decent but nothing spectacular.
However vertical bezels (sum of top and bottom ones) are just ~10.3mm. Now there is an achievement!
