You Say that their quality is equal to Xiaomi and other Chinese manufacturers even though its evident that they have the best quality in the market.

now that I look ok at it again I would defo enable to hide, but at the same... moreThe notch is manufacturers created to maximize screen display
This is caused by the front camera the display area or extra 2mm to 3 mm in the corners
Whilst 2015/ 2016 phones have a low % display to body, the screen did NOT extend past this boundary,
Think about it notches' could have been around since 2012 if they wanted to maximize screen display
Easy fix don't go beyond the from camera

AMOLED screens can turn off pixels which is why the Mi 8 SE is such a damn good deal. If that comes out internationally there is almost no reason to get the X6 except for the 3.5m jack + sd card.

Even when you turn this hide the notch on you still have that notch as these time, battery life and so on numbers still are in the same place and not under the line of that bezel notch. It just got a black background on it.

I have had most of my phones from Nokia and now use Xiaomi and dont feel any difference in built quality. Same with my last phone that cost me only 92 euro and was Leagoo Kiicaa Mix that didnt feel poor built quality even tough it was made of plastic. It's just a placebo effect and nothing more. Use words with magical names on them that make you feel better for your self and thats it. I am not willing to pay 100+ more for a device that dont offer me anything special. So called built quality and updates on android and fancy name for camera lenses and old brand name that will sell you old desings with old hardware and fallowing notch trend and then make silly updates to virtually hide it.
Even with windows phone Nokia were still special and different from others. Now they are on android and are different only cause they cost more then others and thats about it.
I got my redmi note 5 AI for 172 euro that have decent camera that i hardly will ever use and lots of other features. From Nokia same SD636 would cost me something 350 euro. Is that twice the price really worth the build quality and brand name ?
