Anonymous, 13 Jun 2018basic if you don't want to have a curve screen then don't buy :)Man nobody wants them but they will make them anyway.
Its like with non removable battery trend and missing SD Card slot or headphone jack.
We are just drops in an ocean and wont do anything with that.
When a company do and makes phones witthout jack with non removable batteries and no SD card slots we have no choice but move along and agree with fact we are just big nothing fior them and they wont hear us anyway just our cash in their pockets.

My note 8 battery was average at best, my gs9 battery was woeful, 4000mAh for this size of device is really the minimum, i went with p20 pro and battery life was very good when used in the same heavy usage as with my samsungs, seems counter intuitive to make a device that is more powerful with more features yet make it so slim it cant handle a battery that can last 10hrs with fairly heavy usage, with a good battery and optimisations we could have a great note 9
I don't get this craze over faster charging. Surely it can't be good for your battery. Maybe get off your damn phone once in awhile, people!

Fingerprint readers are problematic with todays design...
I'm not a fan of rounded corners removing content, so my suggestion would be to use the lower bezel and a notch that reaches as far up as the rounded corner for a Home-key+Fingerprint reader and just use the sides of the notch for on-screen buttons.
It would be nice if it supported different directions of the thump so one could reach down while holding the device.
But I guess that by the time S10 is released it will have under screen reader. They were probably hoping to have it ready by now, so the fingerprint reader on the back it probably a last minute solution.
alvinzm, 13 Jun 2018Complaining about non-removable battery is so 2011.That's rich... First Samsung flagship with a sealed battery was the S6 in 2015.
I still use my Note 3 to record my art process in 4k, and with an extended 10,000 mAh REMOVABLE BATTERY, I don't have to plug in the ENTIRE day. Do your research.
I got the Note8, and my average power consumption is 160% or 5200 mAh+. Fast charging will only kill the battery faster. It means that I have my Note8 plugged in at least 2 hours during my day hours. I have to bring an external 10,000 mAh battery pack.
The battery's efficiency is now 90% after 7 months, despite normal charging. I'd rather choose my phone being thicker and removable battery than silly slim that I have to carry an external battery packt that's 3 times the volume of my phone just to stay mobile.
alvinzm, 13 Jun 2018Complaining about non-removable battery is so 2011.Yeh, and complaining about the headphone jack is sooooo 2016. And complaining about the Notch is sooooo 2017

are you a human from the past ??
Non-removable battery = no buy. ... moreCurved screens and selling point? Curved screens cost 2-3 times more than flat ones repair cost 400 bucks compared to 150-200 for flat ones. Anyway its much more dificult to break flat screen than a curved screen. In case of Samsung ye someone though its a clever go to make a phone with curved screens but on the other hand they are really expensive slippery and no screen protector will work apart from WOWFIXIT which is liquid glass protection.
So again some guy in samsung make clever move which turned to be a huge mistake.
alvinzm, 13 Jun 2018Complaining about non-removable battery is so 2011.Yup. We can't bring back the past since technology is evolving continuosly.
It means the Note 9's charger will have 12V at 2.1 amperes, about 25 watts.

I hope they're fast in developing under-screen fingerprint scanner since their current scanner is unreliable, slow, inaccurate, and awkward to operate.
I'm not just waiting for battery, but also that "Crown UX" which excites me a bit too.
[deleted post]Wow. I feel this people needs attention to get me out of this community. But you can't actually kick me out though since this is already my norm of joining it. Jesus Christ!
Samsung.. pass , wired childish theme, duplicate apps, delayed upgrade
Fingerprint scener position still unreachable for normal size hands. They should put fingerprint scener on power button . But i think they have iris scener and 3D face scener ,so they not to rush to anything.
BigMillions, 13 Jun 2018A vertical camera makes the device look great. They could have just made the battery wider and... moreThey couldn't have made it wider, as there is a stylus, in case you forgot, in the side of the device
