Doc Faust, 13 Jun 2018I am so frustrated with these huge screens. I don't understand why they become bigger and bigg... moreIts not bigger. It is actually taller. Going from 16:9 to 18:9 technically only made the screen taller. It adding a few inch above and bottom of the screen length. So, basically a 6inch 18:9 display is pretty much the same as 5.5inch 16:9 display. If you imagine and stretch a 5.5inch 16:9 display to be a bit taller, it does become 6inch 18:9. My example is not accurate measurement but just example. You get the concept. Try putting it side by side you will understand and see how small 18:9 phones actually are. Because those extra screen in 18:9 are added vertically not horizontally; thats why the phone look narrow and not wider.

The Chinese really like big screens for some reason, so that's the reason that these things are having big screens. I mirror your opinion, as I don't like to use something bigger than the size of an S7 or S8 on most days. Typing this on 6+ from Apple, and while I like the big screen, it's too cumbersome to use this sometimes. The only hope left is iPhone Se2 and XZ3Compact

6.4 inch display and 9.6mm thick and only 3,700mah???
Should have beenat left 4000. Depending on price I guess that as a max is understandable. But also still room for more without a doubt

I am so frustrated with these huge screens. I don't understand why they become bigger and bigger and there is absolutely no options for people that want smaller screens. What happened to the 5 inch screen that was so popular? Now we are over 6 and going strong.
This is just a phone for most people, can we just have a normal size to use with one hand and put it normally in the pocket? Do people buy backpacks for their phones now? I don't need to have an entertainment multi-center on me all the time, god damn it. Where does it end?

It's sad to see that now GSMarena, a once semi-reliable source of information, has joined the mainstream in spreading disinformation about wide-aspect ratio displays.

These displays are not "huge". They're no wider than a 5.7" 16:9 display. The extra screen real estate lengthwise is pointless. When I put my 5.9" 16:9 Mate 9 next to my brother's 6.3" Note 8, my display appears significantly larger because everything on my display appears larger (duh).

Not only that, but how are phones this long considered to be easy to handle when they can't even fit fully into a pocket?
