I really wonder how are u still here when smartphones a few years back have way MORE bezels than this one...

I don't like storing my photos on Google so they could be used to train drones to recognize humans. That applies to Facebook and any other "free" storage service.
Yes, encryption makes it safer, but do you want to encrypt hundreds of gigs just to spend time decrypting them?
And paid options aren't cheap, an SD is still cheaper.

Let me put it this way:
I wouldn't want to be in a spot where I got my 256gb internal storage full of precious data and my phone falls, breaks, suddenly dies, overheats, explodes or whatever crazy stuff could happen in this world and I can't get access to MY DATA. Let alone PAY for atrocious and extorting DATA RECOVERY services.
If anything happens to my phone, everything is on my card which I can just pop-out. ;)

Save your stuff there and in less than a minute you can transfer to another device.
