the Xiaomi Mi8 design is such a sad blatant copy. Yet, what it has inside, is straight up boss even Apple got blindsided; built-in glass fingerprint sensor, bluetooth 5.0 w/AptX, flagship specs, hopefully better than average camera, all for slightly more than midrange prices? Amazing.
Oh btw, Dual GPS is a godsend. Others, listen and follow cause ya'll behind now.

And yeah you are correct I was waiting for good 40k phone other than oneplus, but nokia 8 turned out to be average at best, So I simply went with s8 since no companies other than samsung are able to make a proper flagship these days. I flashed stock in couple of months though, could not stand touchwiz...
Also AFAIK oneplus sells over 35k too and is pretty successful too

"Super moderators" on MIUI forums is NOT an official Xiaomi representative. The moderators are just volunteers like on most forums. An official Xiaomi rep will have a tag beside their name stating so. So this is not an official claim made by Xiaomi, just a mod saying so.

Mi 8 will be a great competitor for oneplus...
Nokia 7 plus and oneplus sold well because of the value it gives at the price point. Mi 8 has a chance to do that.
Mi 5 and mi 6 doesnt have a chance back in their days
Mi 5 was released in India and only 32gb version was sold in India
They have a great chance this year...but what do i care? Im not gonna buy mi 8, a 3.5mm jackless phone.
But for xiaomi fans....to think that their beloved brand thinks they are poor must be a nice feeling...lol

the only ... moreThe problem might be more of the fact that Indians don't really buy variety.Just look at the statistics;at 35k and above only Samsung and apple plones sell,at 30-35k only one plus and honor 10 pro sell,at 25k only Nokia 7 plus.You see the pattern here.
Now at the price range of 8k-20k is where the variety exists as in people really buy different phones instead of a brand(or a single model) loyalty.
This might put xiaomi in a tough position for pricing.

The First time I saw the Xiaomi Mi8 , I was Certain that it was an IPhone X Watching it from the front and back.
Every single minute detail was the same the size of the notch , the camera placement , the Amoled display , The 12 + 12 Mp Camera Etc etc.
Its only after examining it closely , I found out that it had a finger Print Reader on the Back.
Then I realised that I made a mistake , It wasn't the IPhone X but a Counterfeit Made by the Largest Counterfeiting Machine in the world.
LMAO.
