Thiago, 19 Jun 2018Good news! Every Mali gpu chipsets sucks on heavy graphic games and emulators.Yes! I had Samsung Galaxy S7 which was 2016 model while iPhone 6s is 2015 model but the gpu in S7 is truly sucks Mali T880MP12 that cannot play games in smooth and high FPS compared to iPhone’s gpu is PowerVR GT7600 which it is only 6 cores but it runs super smoothly even on maxed setting in any 2019 Games without exploding power envelope.

S6 family had 3 GB, note 5 is 4 GB,
Note 7/FE kept RAM at 4, but had 64 GB compared to 32 in S7 family,
and Note 8 upped RAM to 6 compared to 4 in S8 family. Oh~ and added a dual camera)
So I absulutely hope Note 9 will break that stupid tradition and make Note family what they are supposed to be. true beasts.

I guess you're learning ne... moreIts probably the best way to up game in VR gaming and recording in high resolution for that(like 8K in 360degrees). With gaming on phones getting more and more popular, this is definitely better than sony ignoring it completely. Same with watches and 360cameras, all of that comes together in phone with that power.
Wish 9820 comes in note9, may break some limits then. Wouldn't mind even note9 with exynos as ''special version'' with a bit higher price, but maybe not so high as Porsche/Lamborghini versions.

The Equnos has the hotplug on & running & switches off at least two of the big Mongoose core's in correspondent high graphical intensive EGLS tasks while on Snapdragon (currently) their is no any hotplug (in user space) & all big core's run (or idle) all the time. Never the less let's say how two Mongoose core's consume as much as four A75's on S845. Neither of those SoC's is actually an example of good engendering. You will see the 6th gen off Adrenos in their full glory and spreading their wings on a S710. Don't be much surprised if A616 matches the sustainable performance of A630 (even it's only half the size & will have only half the memory bandwidth).

What I claimed is something you could easily get to with use of mathematics. It's not absolutely correct, it may differ 5%+-. I am one of the rare people who spent as much time as Andre on the CPU cores topology and kernel schedulers. There are articles for each & every "flagship" SoC on Anandteach & after you reed the article, read the comments.

I think adreno 630 this year is more better in throttling at least according to Anandtech

I'm not a qualcomm engineer, but from what I know is that they almost always consider efficiency and heating dissipation (especially after 810), so maybe it's not the case of SD not being able to push 4k @ 60 fps, but rather they wouldn't let it.

Exynos 8895 from last year was able to pull 4K @60fps while SD835 could not. That was the reason such mod was only available for Exynos powered Note 8 and S8s, hence not oficially available.
I'm not saying Mali GPUs are faster than Adrenos but somehow ARM has managed to pull this high speed 4K recording ahead of Qualcomm.
By the way there's not 4K slo-mo yet on Smartphones the best they can do is 1080p.
4K is limited to 60fps (fast motion for you)

slo-mo video a... moreBeing limited to 10 seconds means that you have to setup everything beforehand. Unlimited means you have the freedom of capturing everything then editing out later.
I'm not defending qualcomm nor bashing Samsung, and in my opinion, midrange chipsets are more than enough.
This year high end exynos and SD offer 4k slomo, next year it will be on midrangers and dirt cheap.
