A pop-up camera just to save a few mm of display space is a bit extreme to me.

They have beaten them all in terms of innovation... Exceeded all the expectations...

Oppo and Vivo... Both are erasing their Midranged tag... OnePlus might lose its Flagship Killer tag... If Samsung comes up with more top n bottom Bazels then its too gonna fail for sure...

Anyone coming with the Notch? Go Find X... :D

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2018I have yet to hear a broken selfie camera. That was OBVIOUSLY not the point. The point was, when you replace a screen on a current flagship they have to replace that camera too, as it's usually glued into the whole front package.

Hope this does not create a nightmare for case makers! Dusts may keep getting accumulated in the gap. Not sure if this is IP68 certified with strange mechanisms. It may look sexy but hopefully, it lives up to the reputation. These are typically pre-ordered or flash sale etc..hardly people get to see this in a shop and buy it. By the time we realize its shortcomings, they will be busy copying other stuff!

It does not come with Android One, so steer clear.

Thesis86, 19 Jun 2018It's official. The OnePlus 6T will look like this. Both Vivo and Oppo took their stabs. The 6T... moreI highly doubt that as Oneplus do droptests and they would only refine their design as a refresh.

The screen will be the only thing that will get into the final design for the 6T, the front camera will need some minor design changes.

My understanding of the situation is that BBK Electronics experimented with various notch-less design and decided upon two final concepts.

They had Vivo market one of them and OPPO market the other one. OPPO's solution is over-the-top compared to Vivo's. But, the phone itself looks much better from NEX.

H-1, 19 Jun 20181 year maximum, unless you use it from behind a plastic bag to prevent dirt from getting into ... moreDesign looks interesting.

Vivo's front camera design is still simple to make a case, but this phone...hmmm.....How are you going to make a case to protect the phone from damage? From the pictures, the phone physically expends vertically in between two layers!!

looks like phone case production company is going to have some challenges with this phone's design :D

if the motor fails, that means both camera cease to function :(

That's why I tried to tell OnePlus fans not to get a OnePlus 6 b/c of what Vivo and Oppo are doing with ditching the notch. We all know OnePlus takes their cues from Oppo and Vivo. So the 6T may still have an old fingerprint sensor, but the notch will be gone.

Good design and beyond expectations.

It's kind of a deal breaker without the option of having a FPS for unlocking the phone.

I wished they did the ultrasonic solution for finger print scanner like the Honor 10 that would just blend in the back unlike traditional fps scanners or UDfps.

Beautiful design, at least they did something different, the rear slider is a unique design and the same may be a protection for back cameras. The front look is awesome, I think they have used Samsung's edge panels.

Oppaii, 19 Jun 2018The rear camera design looks so ugly. Very ugly. (Don't argue with me its not my fault)I will argue with you, that it's just your opinion vs. others. I don't mind it aesthetically. I do however, not like the mechanism, as i think it won't be sturdy enough over long time. Since you need it to slide out to unlock the phone.

I like the Vivo solution better. Having to mechanically open the phone to unlock is a bit impractical in the long run.

Manhurt, 19 Jun 2018I rather has notch part than slide motored part. Even Screen replacement is so expensive + you... moreFrom a parts perspective, this is cheaper than also having to replace a glued on selfie cam on the front. And how do you know if this is any harder to disassemble than any other current glued phone on the market?
