If you want to compare Sony water resistance and Samsung one, you should also know that some Samsung phones suffered from bad water resistance.
Also these Sony phones were (and are still) water resistant, but under certain conditions, as the majority of the water resistant phones available right now (avoid sea/salt water, water dommage isn't covered by the warranty, etc.). Some ads made by Sony however have been misleading on this IP certification in the past, and this has been modified.
And the only Sony phones to skip the headphone jack are the new XZ2s, but previous phones are perfectly waterproof, don't know where you've got this idea of waterproofing related to headphone jack...

8. Xperia has far more bloatware than any other phone is market, i can't even uninstall Facebook from my Xperia, same goes for Asphalt Nitro, AVG, midnight pool, movie creator, Playstation app, Sony LIV, what's new and Xperia Lounge.
Just pathetic.

I've had one Xperia and it had enough issues to be a Chinese phone. Updates were few and slow to come.
Sony is not a brand I'd want to buy again. Lately I've been noticing a lack of expected updates for other Sony products I own, too.

If someone want to giving bad comments, they can do anything fraud to "advertising" . According the image they posted, I can imagine that the user maybe held a stunt gun with the phone together to damage the screen, because my hand is very static and have more electrostatic everytime I open my car doors but I never find any problems, and more my Xperia Z2 drop many times fling many times on floor nothing problem with the display (screen and display still sturdy alive just the screen protector cracked). Furthermore when we check the screenshot they posted, we can find that the notification bar setting has plenty of connectivity activated, they seen want to push the phone too hard, maybe using a stunt gun testing the display is possible action.

The only two guys i know to have Huawei phones had the same issue. Half year after the buying, their phones simply crashed. Nothing helped but taking out the battery, leave it for some time, then turn it on. As soon as you start doin' anything on the phone, after a couple of minutes, it crashes. Then take the battery out again. Then turn it on. Then it crashes, then ...
Yeah, right, quality. LOL. I wouldn't touch a Huawei phone not even with a stick.

2) UI is just almost plain vanilla stock Android, not much of an overlay skin to be called half-baked, but the usual Xperia bloatware is unfortunately there.
3) HDR implementation is better than my Note 8.
4) Updates are fast and furious (June 2018 security patch since more than two weeks ago), but yes no Oreo 8.1 yet, which is rather surprising given it's almost bare stock Android.
5) Stereo speakers better than Note 8.

Colours are perfect and... morebut samsung display electrostatic issue can last for months, i just find it funny that people only start notice this issue, where it is a common problems for all the smartphone. blinking display due to wifi inteference, static line appear due to electrostatic, display colour temperature changes due to phone heat (so far OLED & VA only)

Do you see how Sony fanboys are bashing Samsung and Apple Especially in the comment section of XZ2 Premium and XZ2, this guy predictive memories has just one job, bash Samsung in every post, if you point out any flaw of Xperia you get called a 'Samsung fanboy' right away and then there are comments like crapoled display lol. I mean, they know that Samsung is the top dog right now and bashing Samsung and the s9 gives them some sort of satisfaction. These kind of people give Sony a bad name.

[deleted post]yeah not only that my sony z2 and z3 all suffer glass back popping off (dafuq sony quality) i use case and never once drop it, when i go to sony service center thay said it was user fault (dafuq they have cheap build phone and blamming the user, not only me who suffer this problem my father who own z2 also get this problem) after that i never buy sony phone again. not only their phone have cheap build quality their service center is shit too (blamming the user rather their faulty device) now their service center already shut down in many place in my country and i dont see anyone who use sony phone in my city (because they already know sony phone is shit and service center too)
