If you want an high end android with good build quality and no issuew, buy a Huawei. After that, Samsung maybe, but they did mess up with note 7.
Huawei has the best track record of high quality
Well nothing new here.Sony is just overcharging for cheap quality junk thinking people will go for brand value.
Another thing to mention is that sony had proudly claimed of a water proof phone and the troll fanboys started spamming everywhere that Samsung copied waterproofing from sony.In reality the Sony waterproofing was faulty which is why they removed the 3.5mm jack. They didn't even compensate the buyers of the phone who thought the phone to be waterproof and experimented.
marko97sx, 21 Jun 2018Yeah, right...I know I'm right. Thank you
Deal with my not buying half assed sony products.
Only $800+ and you can have a hokey display phone too ffs.
[deleted post]Ikr! AMOLED are far superior to LCDs just look at gsmarena's reviews.. Colours are perfect and accurate with great contrast.
Sony's so called hdr LCDs have a blue tint and aren't very accurate when it comes to color reproduction and not to mention black look like gray, also none of Sony phones are VR compatible because of LCDs.
So whenever I see a comment like oh Samsung crapoled display I always report and ignore them, they are just fanboys justifying how great their poor contrast blue tint LCDs really are.
I have an xz1 and the screen appears to have a blue tint and the contrast is poor in front of an oled display!
I'm not hating on Sony but you can't just brush away the faults and troll people just because you are a fanboy.
Luxor, 21 Jun 2018In just 3 hours this many comments already. Like Sony said, deal with it guys.yeah. sony always makes failure every year and ask their customers to deal with it.
sudden dead, self cracking screen, overheat, camera distortion, and now screen problem.
marko97sx, 21 Jun 2018This pisses me off. They clearly said that the lines would fade away. Sony support was always ... moreAnd what was the reason Samsung gave for not repairing your dotted screen? Same as Sony's?
marko97sx, 21 Jun 2018I'm not talking about customer service now, when Samsung refuses to fix a screen with a burn i... moreYour are wrong. Screen burn is covered under standard warranty. My friend got his S7 edge replaced with a new S7 edge just before his warranty expired.
many years ago i decided i would never buy a sony device, they are too expensive, features not worth the price and when i contacted support center for some issues with my tablet, service was terrible
Anonymous, 21 Jun 2018Why are you justifying a fault with other company's problem? So if Samsung has burn in, it's o... moreThat's typical fanboyism, these guys won't accept any faults with Sony phones. Remember how glass on Z, Z1, Z2 and Z3 cracked and came off the back all by itself? Sony did nothing about it, and the worst part is you were denied the warranty, the Sony service center guys are so arrogant (just like Sony fanboys here) that they'll dismiss it as a user inflicted damage. I had Z3 Compact and the rear glue came off by during the first 3 months then you'll have all sorts of problems like flash bleeding in your photos and it was a nightmare getting the phone fixed or replaced by Sony, eventually they did after I was going to sue them, yet still I went with XZ1 because I like the boxy design but this is my last Sony phone, the camera is so bad during the night for a flagship, I'm moving over to Samsung next year, at least they cover screen burn in under warranty.
Unknownraider, 21 Jun 2018My first question would be how did static get inside the panel , secondly couldn't the static... moreHow it is inside the panel? Seriously, you asking that? To be brief you need a bit of understanding how touchscreen works. Static is what makes touchscreen works. Our fingers and body are full of statics. You cannot function the touch screen with other object that doesnt conduct electrical charge like human skin on the touchscreen. Go ahead try swiping your phone with a wood or paper clip or anything. Not gonna work.
F***K you Sony for removing the jack in XZ2 & now with display issues, we hv to bear with it. Now I can't simply recommend this phone to anyone. To people reading this, please sell your XZ2/XZ1 ASAP & get another phone with the jack and better quality at the same price.
Anonymous, 21 Jun 2018Not the sameYeah, right...
Anonymous, 21 Jun 2018Why are you justifying a fault with other company's problem? So if Samsung has burn in, it's o... moreI'm not talking about customer service now, when Samsung refuses to fix a screen with a burn in, or dots on the screen, nobody cares, because everyone loves Samsung, but when Sony does something like this everyone hates them.
In just 3 hours this many comments already. Like Sony said, deal with it guys.
marko97sx, 21 Jun 2018Well, do you prefer Samsung's burn ins? Or Pixel 2 XL terrible displays?Samsung covers burn ins. At least in my country. So they won't just tell you to deal with it unlike Sony just did
marko97sx, 21 Jun 20185 year old XZ? lolX (Space) Z refer to Sony Xperia Z, not Sony Xperia XZ
And people are excited about xz2 premium 🤣🤣🤣
My first question would be how did static get inside the panel , secondly couldn't the static permanently damage the screen if it discharges inside.. bit poor from sony.. I assume a screen replacement should fix this assuming it's sealed.. Also I could be wrong but wouldn't the static need a gap to get into the screen.. e.g waterproofing issue for the phone..
