If the problem happens on a midrange sony I'd understand. Paying extra would mean they should offer a phone that has better hardware, software, and support. And one would expect it not to happen in the next generation.
Guys, we're not allowed to complain about Sony's faults.. If you do, you'll be branded a 'Samsung fanboy' then that predictive memory and tann hauser guy will come and troll you.
So just deal with it
I got offered an XZ2 and $50 for my S8 plus. Hahahaha a year newer, and I still didn't make the trade. Sony sucks
to be honest, that is exactly why i moved from my exceptional good xz premium to my new huawei mate 10, my sony had some minor issues with the software and sony never addresses these things and doesn't even care about their low a$$ reputation in the smartphone market, huawei at least tries to improve and deliver solid performance even though their software updating is a bit slow, but that shows again what a s$hitty company sony has become

instead of saying "deal with it", they should have said "plea... morethey also did the same attitude when people found distortion issue in xzp and xzs. they tried to hide it and refused to fix it.
but.. after many people in xda and many other forums bully them, they finally fixed it after more than 6 months.
That's strange, it seems to only be an issue on the latest XZ (1 and 2)...
If it fades away, why not, but that's still strange.

i think they already know the source of this issue. but they try to hide it. because this kind of issue has never happened before.
This is not the way of doing business. Sony mobile division is stuck and cannot go further! It's time sell portfolio, otherwise it'll end up as HTC...Nokia (HMD Global) should buy Sony mobile division...What do you think guys?

You can keep your china replika phone.
As a power user, Sony is the best for my needs.
Extremely easy to root, very stable, no bootloops even after trimming the rom to the max, best updates available (they are already rolling Android P Beta 2).
And on top of everything, it jas excellent quality build. I have a 5 year old X Z which has never seen a case or bumper. Still intact, still working flawlessly and lagless after so many years.
Now I have XZP, but I still use the old XZ sometimes.
So no, I'm not interested in china brands.
Only Japanese or Korean for me.

low quality lcd. many china brands also use lcd, but this badcase never happened to them.
sony.. your mobile division is not good. always gives many problems to the users. this is the reason why most people dont trust xperia. you have to improve your QC a lot.
self cracking screen, overheat, sudden death, camera distortion, and now is display issue.
