Luxor, 22 Jun 2018What not making sense? You understand it just fine from your reply. The only thing not making ... moreMaybe they are trying out a 2:1 4K screen? I know it's not 4320x2160, but 3840*1920 is very close to 4K, I could be wrong, and did you see leaks before the XZ2 was announced? They said it had a 5.7" 4320x2160 screen, that's a smaller screen for a Premium Xperia I thought and had doubts about it, and as we know, the leaks weren't true. So I'd take this with a grain of salt.

Maybe you should NOT believe everything you see online. GSMA is doing this because of attention and clicks, but not supporting blatantly obvious facts, and some people (probably yourself included) can't use a tiny bit of common sense they have left.

The only thing not making sense is the screen thats why Im questioning it. No offense taken. But really, think about it, where have you seen 3840x1920 resolution? This is called critical thinking. So, think.

Geric.770, 22 Jun 2018Ahhh, good thing. GSMARENA really loves to start this drama. Usually it begins with "bezel" or "notch", and "no audio jack".

marko97sx, 22 Jun 2018If you really want to embrace the future, we need the glass back for wireless charging, secon... moreI actually think the future of smartphones is bleak. I am being given less features and being asked to spend significantly more money for features I do not use. (for example, wireless charging). In addition to that, the smartphone is objectively much weaker, easier to break and more difficult to repair. We are 5-10 years away from self-repairable glass being on the market. Therefore, phones do not need to be made with glass. Because if wireless charging and durability were important, OEMs would use plastic to be able to get wireless charging instead of glass that is easy to break, where they can charge you more for repairs. And let's not get started on the removal of the headphone jack, which OEMs have used to sell expensive earbuds and bluetooth options which...aren't even mediocre. One more thing, IP ratings, unless it comes from Sony are useless. A youtuber reviewed all phones with at least an IP67 rating. Only the Sony was able to take the dunk in water and be fully functional. Every other phone had a defect. Hell, the S9+ and iPhone X stopped working. But IP ratings are necessary! IP ratings mean I can go swimming with my phone, they tell you. And it is just bullshit marketing.

The future of smartphones is a bleak, glass filled, hardly useful future.

Shanti Dope, 22 Jun 2018That 4K display is nothing new. Others already had it a long time ago, such asI can't even understand if this is a sarcasm.

but the only thing that i know is Sony is the first and the only (sounds fanboyish right?) that creates phones with 4K display. Research is the one of thing that most young generation are too lazy to do.

Sony, please fix the display problems faced by the owners of Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XA1. Because we purchase your phones with hard earned money and we deserve good service, but you are lacking in that. I think you have to change all your authorised service centre agencies, and gave it to people who respects customers. Then produce new models.... people will love to purchase.
