It won't mean however that the Samsung is the best phone. It just means that its external looks and powerful brand marketing will make it win over voters here; it's never the versatility, features, longevity, repairability or long term usability that matter to most buyers. Image and brand prestige/recognition is everything to most people, never mind if it only lasts a year before a newer model takes over. The truly best phones stand the test of time and do not end up in a landfill a year or two later.
Ultimately, Samsung will win in this Smartphone world cup 2018 competition because it is the most popular brand with the most users.
Like s9+ and LG v30 thinkq but only s9+ as the winner for this category. Why people more choose 1+ 6 than LG v30 thinkq? Jeezzz...
I want the battle of ugliest
Pixel 2 XL x iphone X
Samsung = Best all rounder. Shout out for no notch and a headohone jack plus sd card.
Honor 10 = Flagship chipset at low price, and good design plus camera =
LG = Prefer it because of SD card
iPhone = Dont like imitation iphones, so picked the real deal. Plus the pixels camera has been beat by Huawei.. so that finalised it
S9+ and LG V30S because they have SD card slot.
I'm not interested in the rest.
S9+: You do not want me to seriously consider a "gaming" smartphone when there are no real advantages to the gaming aspect. The S9+ can run all the games the ASUS ROG will. And the S9+ also has a manual Overclock function in Game Tuner.
Nokia 7+: It's well built and updates come in a timely fashion. And I'm sick of Huawei giving barely a year of updates to some of it's phones when the J1 mini Prime still gets quarterly updates. I mean that's hard to beat in a level of lameness.
V30S: Stupid rebranding but better than "Never Settle for Quality"
Pixel 2 XL: Huge issues, but they got sorted out. Plus super good pictures and not a tired design from 2014 (or an awful one from 2017)

(V30 has better camera and is notchless)

Good phones, I chose based on personal preference save for the ROG.
S9+ may be a better all-rounder but Asus went an extra mile everywhere: S9 almost looks like every other Samsung, ROG looks unlike anything else, even the fingerprint scanner is customized. Asus even got a custom chip inside, and made a bunch on unusual accessories.
ROG is not a Phone, but rather a statement in the face of the dull design choices out there.
These are the reasons why I picked my favourite,,,
Galaxy S9 plus: the ROG will surely outperform in speed test but the s9 plus is better in most of categories than ROG
Honor 10: It has the top end chip and specs at almost the same price
Lg V30 TqS: although is hasn't the latest chip but it's better than OnePlus in many categories..
Pixel 2 XL: obviously better for its Dslr like image process and for coolest UI and software experience
Thank you
Lots of good phones here.....hard to choose.
