Anonymous, 22 Jun 2018You got to laugh at the 12hr battery life, for that money I wonder how sales will do Seriously !They will eventually sell however...

Being in the business that requires durable and secure devices, the devices are normally operated for 8 hours on one go, after which they'll go into charging to prepare for the next working day, sometimes they'll be left forgotten for a couple of days or weeks, and will be abused once needed...

The function really contradict the design. It is used for scanning barcodes and documents at best with that mere SD210. Why does it need to be super rugged for that kind of usage? I dont imagine people be scanning things outdoor in the rainstorm and suddenly drop their phone off the cliff. Just wow. That must be one hell of a job. Real military job I say. They be like scanning weapons and shiit while at war??! Just kidding. Ok bye.

nailed it, 22 Jun 2018when you lose your god damn mind you wont be any other way but offer snapdragon 210 for 100000... more'The Toughbook has the usual IP68 and MIL-STD-810G label. It has been tested with drops from 1.5m (5 ft) height and it has a working temperature range between -10 to 50°C (14-122°F).'

I think this is where most of the $1600 goes. Unlike those cheaper and slimmer porcelains like the S7Edge whose owners are instructed to keep away from water after repair services.

Price aside, this flies in the face of those who insist that sealing the batteries are needed for IP protection.

Well man Falcon supernova was most expensive phone ever made.
It was an Iphone made with a materials from outer space from meteorite cost 110 000 000 dollars per piece.
Well if they cover this thing into Titanium or Platina, Onyx, Gold etc maybe it will be worth 1600. But now with its specs i offer 2 dollars my best price.
One dollar for unit and the other for a try :-)

no. for this kind of durable phone with that kind of high standard of durability, it is a really slim phone. well i could expect that spec for the price, years ago Toughbook is a $2000-3000 i5 notebook.

Well... Panasonic hasn't made any decent phones in years, if not decades, but this is a joke.
