Knowing Samsung: Only 1 OS updates if you're lucky and very few security patches. The only Samsung products worth buying IMO are their memory cards and SSDs (since Memory Cards from Sandisk are kind of hard to find in my city).
You'll be better off getting those Android Go phones from Xiaomi and other Android Go OEMS or even new Nokia phones which have pretty close to stock Android (plus have better durability).

Many people simply need the most important things (voice, text, acceptable camera, e-mail, web, social, banking) and are perfectly fine with a cheap Android Go phone. Why spend more?

Give me a 4" phone and I'll consider it. My 5-years-old phone of that size is drawing its last breaths but I won't let it die until someone makes a good compact smartphone again. And no, Sony, your "Compacts" are too big, too.

Kiyasuriin, 25 Jun 2018All android go phones use stock Android Luxor.I actually did research about that. From what I found Android Go replaces the Android One programme which aims at low end phone. Android One originally is updated directly by Google but as for Android Go it doesnt come directly from Google. Google send it to the oems and the oems has to release the updates from Google.
I also found article that says this about it:
"It's also important to note that nothing about Android Go guarantees an unmodified build of Google's OS—that's a separate program called Android One. Just like with regular Android, OEMs are free to rebrand and skin the OS however they see fit."
But most likely they wont put a skin on it since it is a lite android. Like the first android go phone, ZTE Tempo Go is mostly stock but has skinned camera app. The gallery, music app, sound recorder, and video player also from ZTE. Thus, not stock android.
