Sony's smartphone sales have been rapidly declining. All it can do now is sell overpriced, underspecced Xperia phones to the hardcore fanboys.
That's your 'Xperia makes most money (profit) per unit sold', right there. It's nothing to be proud of, fyi.

Anyway, it's going to be released in limited quantities (just like the XZ Premium), be launched in limited countries, get overshadowed by other brands' flagships in Q3 2018, and eventually have its sales cannibalized by the announcement of the XZ3.
Typical Sony. Never learns.

Sure, the glass of XZ2 heavily-inspired by HTC U11, as reflective just like U11 does rather than XZ Premium and 2013 Xperia Z, and curvature of XZ2 is more convex than concave. But you need to remember, Sony were the company forced almost everyone as main compound materials for flagships smartphone , even Apple itself, to use Glass back and Metal frame again, even with different approachment design. And XZ2 design is trying to bring back the classic design of old-school Xperias, which a good thing to nostalgic about it, and few companies tried to do that, such as Nokia Mobile under HMD Global supervision. Not perfect, but at least stand-out from the notch-trend.

People bash Sony for nothing just isn't successful as Samsung or Apple but I'm gonna post 2 videos so you can see how much the quality of Sony phones are in compared to SAmsung, Apple, Huawei and LG. It's about their water resistance so Mathew Moniz the YouTuber should how other phones are crab for their money

Sony's cameras are unmatchable when talking about Pro Modes. But yeah, people love slimmer, more fragile phones than Sony's. Sigh.
I like how the new phone has that DualShock vibration though. It's a cool feature for gamers!
