SnapDragon 625 is well-capable of QC3.0, but my Redmi 5 Plus doesn't even have QC2.0 official support.
SnapDragon 450 can record 1080p@60fps, but my friend's A6+ 2018 can only do up to 1080p@30fps, not even a slow motion, in which the DSP of the 450 is well-capable of doing it in 720p@120fps.

Kirin ... moreWhile I agree with you that they are used way more than they should be, the actual problem is NOT in using them extensively. The problem is the cost of the phones which have these SoCs. They should NOT cost more than $150 in 2018, but there are phones costing $300 - $400 with those SoCs. This is the problem. Given a choice, I would actually ban ALL the 28nm SoCs.
