Dude don't contradict yourself and Sony did only upscale when view certain thing but in the future it will happen for most of the phones and it was going to happen but the 4K only happens in LCD not OLED because OLED still can't do 4K and the OLEDs 2K is the Full HD of the LCD so don't tell me that Apple knows what's best for the average consumer and honestly no company cares, every company cares about their money.
Dude it's not a couple of fans that appreciate but it's about the famous ecosystem if the a company is famous every thing they present becomes famous and that's why you don't see a lot of people same what you were saying about the 4K, if Sony was popular like Apple at the moment you would have seen a lot of people saying that 4K is better so again know what your talking about. The sales of iPhone speakes the people want something famous and brag about and that people doesn't know even what phone consists of, what it has and what it doesn't and the sales speaks of Apple poring tones of money in their marketing and paying the media to protect their phone and play countrer marketing to bash others, it's either doing, Also fans are loyal to them nothing because their phone was failing in a water proof test and people don't know that no media or tech magzine even reported that even this site never did so that proves that iPhone is quantity over quality so does every one becomes famous because they want to protect and never lose the market or their place.
Dude your not the logical because you comparing iPhone with Sony when I bet you never tried Sony even the storage because Sony and most Android phones offer expendable storage. Yes Sony is 64GB and 6GB of Ram plus 400GB of expandable memory

People will typically watch 4k content on their Tv, so the "mim tv" argument doesn't really hold. Just because a couple fans of Sony appreciate the 4k display doesn't mean the world will suddenly care about it. Again, the sales of the iphone speak volume to what matters to consumers. Not taking anything away from Sony, but saying it's superior to the Iphone X isn't very logical either. Especially at that price for 64gb

Really which aspects and please don't lie to yourself and to the readers. The iPhone failed in the waterproof test and not only him others did as well and Sony was the only own plus this phone is durable and iPhone doesn't have a thing compared to this phone so don't try to diminish the XZ2P.
2. It will be used like a mini TV and please speak some logic, If iPhone would have used it firsrt, you would have said well it's something big, but it came from Sony or if it would come from any other company you would said no its not necessary and I don't know who will use it from and there today a lot of people enjoy their photos and pictures in 4K and connect to their 4K TVs and there are other reasons. Mostly the display is on 1080P when watching YouTube and other sites you will enjoy.
3. I didn't it's gimmick, I was talking about GSMArena so go back and read it and let me tell you something, 3 cameras is a no need, yes it a push to the technology in very simple way, it's not innovation, because 1 lens is the real innovation but what we see in the market today makes a competition so that's not innovation, it's marketing. I'm not saying the 3 lens bad but they could made one big circle in the phone and put the 3 lens's job in one big circle on the phones back and do it like a pro camera. See your narrow mined, when some people tried to change the XZP's display To fully 4K, it made a difference, like a night and day but the some apps failed to keep up with the display and the in the current display in the XZP didn't hurt the endurance of the battery because every one was expecting that phone to fail just it a 4K phone so know what your talking about and the 4K is something important since all the content is been and going to made by 4K.
The dual lens can do the zooming too by the way it's just about the developing side of the tech and this phones camera broke the P20 Pros camera with dual camera and high iso so your the delusional and never saw the phones capability and talking crap because your a hater go see the sites that gave videos and can pictures to compare between these phones then speak if you can

The size of the phone doesn't matter by the way between the XZP and the XZ2P is 30 grams since your saying you have XZP. Old phones is used to have that kind of sizes before years and in the tech world that doesn't matter because technology comes in different sizes and shapes. You and the other guys think like technology should a standard to the year and thats the problem like you just want the buy the phone and look it from the prespective of the iPhone, well that's wrong. When iPhone was slim few years ago why the you and the other guys say the other phones are fat ???? You didn't and don't lie to yourself, you just want to condemn Sony and any way possible.
The finger print is ok since you will get used to it, it's only just the first few days that's it , besides in the coming years Sony will adopt the finger print under the glass in their phones.
It has a 4K 5.8 inch display with HDR 10-bit and dual cameras that have high ISO and can do a lot lot of things and flim 10-bit HDR which is a first in the smartphone industry.
It's build quality proved that's better than the competition not once but twice, I advice you to check them in the YouTube , the waterproof test and and the durability test.

For that money i would rather buy a Oneplus 6, Huawei P20 Pro or many other options out there. Sony phones are known to heat up and are known to give problems after just 1-2 years of usage. Charging 1K, that's a freaking rip-off.
And that design... For 500 i got a onelpus 5T and in terms of design, it's much more appealing

They play it safe with the mate series and announce new socs along with them. They take risks and try to innovate with the p series. Some things always stay constant though. Great software and good battery life. Not so sure what other manufacturers are up to.

Bear in mind also that Huawei isn't aiming to please Youtubers and tech enthusiasts, which seem to be the only people that care about the pixel, given its sales. The average consumer might not take monochrome shots as often, but they definitely use zoom. The phone was a success, and I can imagine people buying the pro model model more due to also the low light prowess that it has. That's what sells phones. Lets not forget to look at the view of the average consumer, as they are the majority.

Secondly, aside from some 4k movies I don't know what the average consumer is going to use that display for. To Sony's credit, it can be considered future proof. Thirdly the P20 pro's triple camera is not a gimmick. Not even by a stretch. The 40 mp sensor serves as extra resource via binning its pixels down to 10, the 8mp which was added is for zooming, something the average consumer will use much more than a 4k display, and the regular 20mp monochrome sensor is of course for low light help and the occasional black and white photo. I know you respect what this phones stands for, but lets have intelligent conversations and not be delusional.

For that price, I wished they had 128gb instead. Most people won't mind paying that much, but give more of a complete package..... Still, I think they look at their sales numbers and have decided to go with higher profit margins.
