Koala, 28 Jun 2018They do provide better software support. At least they don't steal user data and sell it to others. See, the issue reported here is serious enough. Just imagining my photos being sent to ANY of my contacts, without me knowing, scares me more than a brand having access to my data (and TBH, in today's smartphone, every phone, or major apps have access to our data nevertheless). I mean, who knew Facebook was sharing user data, before it was caught red handed.
Also, Apple wouldn't have accepted underclocking their processors, had they not been caught red handed. Who knows, how much access they have to your data, without your permission.

This isn't SMS nor MMS it's the Samsung Messages app sending to other Samsung Messages recipients, so it's basically IM. The only way to share images over SMS is by uploading images to a site and then send the URL. MMS is inherently incompatible with itself, which is why no one uses it. :)

2. We all know what Apple is doing in the name of updating older devices. Intentionally under clocking the processor is just one of those things. And it's not like Apple itself declared that it is doing so, they were forced to accept that they were doing this, that tio without the knowledge of the user. Had someone not checked that, do you think Apple would have come forward and said they are doing this? Obviously no, and if you think that they would have, I guess it's you who need to wake up, "SON".
3. Now when every software has bugs, what other reason justifies paying double the prices for a particular product. A 1000$ iPhone has bugs, the same way a 450$ Mi8 has bugs. What's the point, then, to pay that extra bucks?

I'm curious if this applies to any galleries stored under KNOX SECURE settings, as those generally require a password / fingerprint or face unlock to get into?

In my country we also don't use mms as it just too expensive a... moreWell i also dont use MMS for over a 10 years i didnt write any.
But n case of SMS i write the daily. Also use viber and messenger often dont have whats app.

Bugs and glitches etc. are general machine issues. No big or small company is immune to it. So just follow the instructions of the work around until it's inevitably fixed.

In my country we also don't use mms as it just too expensive and no one has the time to configure the apn settings for it. ( yes, you have to configure it yourself). So we just use Whatsapp. We don't even use sms here anymore. lol

I guess it should be all clear to all the fanboys out there, who keep defending these so called "top tier" brands, for their insane prices, saying the high prices are for the so called "better, safe software".
Now that every brand's software, be it Apple, Samsung or Google, is facing some issue or the other, it's safe to say that the we are paying double the Xiaomis' and Oneplus' prices only and only for the brand name and not for anything else. Stop saying that Sammy & Apple provide better software support that's why they are expensive.
