S9+ vs Nokia 7 plus. Easy pick S9+ does everything better.

Xiaomi Mi 8 is much cheaper and less gimmicky than Pro20 but offers similar performance, so Mi 8 wins.

One Plus 6 much cheaper better performance pixel 2 XL is kind of a flop with numerous issues so One Plus wins.

NEX S is a future show off so sorry G7 there does not have a chance, all the way for NEX S

Your arguments against display, cameras, design, etc are just nonsense.
I see from your comment you just hate Samsung.

P.S. I'm sure you will say I'm a Samsung fanboy, because you are out of arguments.

Koala, 02 Jul 2018Galaxy S9+ has: better cameras, better design, the best display (at this moment), IP68, Wirele... moreBetter cameras meaning needing two cameras in order to do what One camera (plus great software and data processing like the Pixel 2) can do? DxOMark can no longer be trustedd since they're paid to say BS. Nah. Plus if you reviewed the DxOMark individual scores, the only reason the S9 got a higher overall score is because of the slightly higher Zoom, Noise and Bokeh score. But all other individual scores, the Pixel 2 crushes your gimmicky S9+.
Better design? You mean that gimmicky curved screen which is more expensive to repair? Nah.
Best display? You mean that oversaturated AMOLED display which will get burn in and wastes more battery on white content? Nah
Wireless charging? Nah, not truly wireless when you need to plug in the charger itself and need to keep the phone flat on the charger. I'd rather have fast charging on that?
IP68? Sure, that's nice but pretty sure companies won't honor repairs on water damage.
Dual aperture? Another gimmick right now which has negligible improvement to the camera over last years S8.
No notch? I don't give a f$%$ whether the phone has a notch or not.

The S9+ is not the best smartphone. Maybe in your opinion it is. But many beg to disagree considering it has only marginal improvements over the S8+ but way more expensive.

Whackcar, 01 Jul 2018S9+ is just a slightly upgraded rehash of S8+. It hasn't evolved enough to deserve this victor... moreMost innovative =/= Best overall

Evolution of 2017's top Smartphone design is still best of the bunch here. Only thing better is the up coming Note 9. Nothing else here is as feature rich, extremely versatile (literally a full fledged practical pocket PC, https://sck.pm/Ccf ), lacking a fugly-notch, and complete IMO.

ROG should have come on top of S9, but there so many Samsung fans that any other phone, even with better features, will fall short

Looks like next round its going to be a fight between the Samsung Galaxy S9+ and the Vivo Nex S and OnePlus 6 and Huawei P20 Pro. I expect the S9+ to win by a landslide (70% ?) whereas the OnePlus 6 is going to have a tough time to win (55% ?).

The final seems to come down to the Samsung S9+ against the OnePlus 6.
Both good phones, and both very popular here, I think overall the S9+ will win (60% ?) to become the champion on this site (which is dominated by a mostly Indian audience).

The S9 will obviously win not because it is the best phone but... moreGalaxy S9+ has: better cameras, better design, the best display (at this moment), IP68, Wireless Charging, dual aperture, no notch... and you think OnePlus 6 is better?
I'm not Samsung fan but fact is that S9+ checks everything.

Anonymous, 02 Jul 2018Seriously? I don't think so. There are lots of phones in this 'smartphone world cup' waaay bet... moreSaying any phone is better than another is completely subjective. A popularity contest shows what consumers that vote like the best. Any of these popular phones wouldn't get popular or get votes if they sucked. All of the flagships nowadays are so close to each other in quality it is literally impossible to say one phone is better than another phone in every way. Way I see it, if a phone even made the list to be a part of this tournament, it already won.
