Fulljack, 29 Jun 2018LG is weird. Their OLED display for their big TVs are top notch. Did they use cheaper quality ... moreOLED for tv and OLED for smartphone are very different. That all I can say.

Luxor, 29 Jun 2018Reducing reliance from the korean giant with another korean company. How ironic. LG OLED produ... moreThere is no other choice in OLED display but Korean vendors, for now. No other display maker in the world can make OLED display in enough quality and quantity. Japanese maker like JDI hopes to do, buy not yet. Don't mention Chinese vendors. They are far behind of Korean vendors by 5 years in OLED technology. 3 years behind in LCD technology.

Samsung has about 10 years experience in small OLED display. It will take at least three or more years for others like Korean LG display to get near to quality of Samsung OLED display.

LG is weird. Their OLED display for their big TVs are top notch. Did they use cheaper quality display for their phones to cut cost? Because Samsung, while doesn't sold as many TVs as LG, has top quality OLED display for their smartphone.

Reducing reliance from the korean giant with another korean company. How ironic. LG OLED production capacity is still very very low compare to Samsung. Hope they make enough iphone x plus. And the display better be really good. If it worse than iphone x, Apple going to be in big trouble.

If only Apple has a technique to prevent P-OLEDs from suffering those issues like we've seen on LG V30.
