Flooding the market to see if they sell any of the models, selling one of each two models, they are profitable. Huawei does the same but with less SoC variety, at least with Vivo you get more options to choose. But in general are to the asian market, doesn't come with western LTE bands, like B20 and other desirable features like NFC or FM Radio, etc.

Vivo V9 6GB just launched in Indonesia. It costs only around $320, about $60 pricier than the regular one.
Interestingly, it comes with beefed up SoC SD660, 64gb storage and dual pixel selfie camera.

Every other day there's a new Vivo or Oppo model being churned out. Are any of these going to be getting timely OS and security updates? NOPE.

Considering it launching with 128gb storage, the $300 sounds about right. The $270 Vivo Z1 only comes with 64gb.
