AnonD-9845, 29 Sep 2011see, this is how u do business. people use ur tech, u ask them to pay rent, not kill them. ... moreMicrosoft is suing Motorola. On top of that, they sued barnes & noble, foxconn and inventec for Android patents. They have demanded HTC pay royalties. Samsung has obviously agreed to the fees, to avoid another lawsuit. The way I see it, Microsoft is launching a more aggressive battle against Android than Apple is, who just sued Samsung, unlike Microsoft, who is suing most of the Android manufacturers.

I do however, think that these recent developments, including Google Motorola merger, will make the manufacturers nervous, and start thinking about alternative strategies, which is what recent news headlines seem to be proving, with announcements such as Bada 2.0, Tizen, etc.
Saz, 29 Sep 2011Cant get the connection here, why paid miscrosoft for every andriod phone they make?Because its linux
see, this is how u do business. people use ur tech, u ask them to pay rent, not kill them.
MS by itself wont be able to sell winPhone on a desireable level, hence allowing phone companies to use its software is a good promotional tactic.
and they get extra pocket money too.everybody wins.
unlike a certain fruity company that only sees kill n die as option for people who "copied" them.

People will alway want something new and exciting, doubt if Android will be innovative coz they're best at copying.
Saz, 29 Sep 2011Cant get the connection here, why paid miscrosoft for every andriod phone they make?why paid microsoft for every andriod phone they make? Thats, because Android, says Microsoft, is infringe Microsoft's patents. And since google releasing Android in a "free" way, They didn't get sued. But when manufacturer releasing Android Phones, they must certainly generating revenue from the sale, right? That's mean using infringed item (aka Android) for profit, and for that, manufacturers should pay the infringed patent licences. Even though I don't know which patents exactly infringed by Android.

Anyway in terms of analyst view, from the looks of it .. the party who should be on it's toes would be Apple.
Judging from this partnership, advantage calls from G, MS, Moto, Nokia and Samsung, it looks like Apple will need to be fighting it's way out.
Apple has been innovating many awesome devices (not directly comparing hardware to hardware .. coz we all know the difference of quality and costs) .. but nontheless they have innovated many fantastic concepts and solutions where other brand fails.
However question would be if they would be able to maintain the pace ... where if the other brands start ganging up from all perspective.
Lets see what Apple's strategy will be.
To all who are reading, think carefully when you're standing on a fence. Stop siding one side just because you're a supporter or a user of it.
A large partnership like this, despite whatever the implications, who is paying who, who earns more, who gets more .. it is ALL a business decision, for the corporates to earn more and profit more.
End of the day, for consumers, this just means there will be more variety of technology for ALL of us.
There will be no monopoly despite whatever possibilities you all say, why? Because however they be shrewd in business, if they slack .. they will fall.
Both Google and Microsoft are now already catching up and dishing out every technology ideas in their cabinet out. Samsung as a hardware technology provider, are also dishing out everything possible to win in this market.
Look at Nokia, just because of their own decision to stick to Symbian, they fell because of their own actions, not able to meet the market's demand as well as alot more other factors.
And NOW they are moving on to Windows Phone and Meego. Thats their business call and strategy. GREAT for us as consumers .. more to look forward to.
So stop being ignorant fools and flamers, commenting with totally no knowledge or understanding of business strategies for corporate giants. Stop commenting as if the one brand you support is godly and all-mighty and blaming others for the downfall.
This is getting very sad to see how many ignorant fools there are in the world .. publicly publishing ignorant statements.
AnonD-1082, 28 Sep 2011That's exactly why I hate Google. They destroyed so many businesses because of their practices... moreGoogle didn't destroy anything at all.
Google re-create a whole new market which the other older brands DIDN'T give us, the consumers. Monopoly? Total BS. The only the party who tried to monopolize was Microsoft .. and even that it failed.
All brands play fair in market and it's a matter of their own strength to market and maintain development.
It is Microsoft's own downfall for slacking .. take Windows Mobile for instance .. 3 years worth of stupidity where memory leaks still happens. But finally woke up with WP7. But then they lost it to Android who picked up.
You calling Google a bad person? This shows just how ignorant you are in understanding how things works Good and Bad to the world.
Being a big brand supporter like yourself to Nokia is a total shame to it's name as this shows how shallow you are.

microsoft is cruel; androide is marketing up with samsung highly.microsoft cannot compitit with google so troubling this is not right way to business up.microsoft just try to develop its os and market will automatically grow
microsoft just jalousing with androide and samsung launching galaxy like luxurious phone and not launchig like windows phone so making trouble
Ashura, 28 Sep 2011Your kind isn´t welcome arround here troll boy. You predict the fall of android next ye... moreandroid will fall after a long time, not next year though. the speed of development is bringing all the operating systems to be on par with each other. after that it will be about which introduces the new feature first.
Not trying to be anti-Android here, but this is something that could lead to the decline of Android. HTC already pays a fee to Microsoft. Now Samsung will pay a fee to Microsoft for every Android phone sold.
Analysts have written saying that this could lead to all the other manufacturers Microsoft has been hunting, to also now start paying this fee.
What this means is that Android is no longer a free OS to the manufacturers. This will not of course lead to a sudden disappearance of Android, but the manufacturers will start working hard on their alternative platforms, eg Bada, Tizen, etc.
One article went as far as to say that this Microsoft Samsung deal is a huge blow to Google.
This a civilized way of solving patent conflicts, not Apple's way of suing everyone to get them wiped out.
I personally think Google's biggest flaw is that they pumped out updates and gave all the features out to the cx's too fast that it is running out of things to update and cant innovate anymore, thats one of the reason why I think Android would fade away unless they come up with something new. The excitement will be gone from people and no one would be expecting something from Android because it has everything already. Look at IOS they dont give alot of updates every phone they make but people keep wanting more. Its because the fans still think they are getting something new and exciting. In the world of Mobiles theres a lot of competition, so if nothing new comes out of you people will get bored and switch to the newest OS with somethign exciting to bring. Dont get me wrong Android is great and almost has everything you need, but the excitement is gone and people will look for something new. Just like a relationship, if you give out everything you have the relationship would get boring and unless the couple tries something new.. they usually end up breaking up..
Cant get the connection here, why paid miscrosoft for every andriod phone they make?

Ashura, 28 Sep 2011Your kind isn´t welcome arround here troll boy. You predict the fall of android next ye... moreThe guy is not a troll..he is just stating his view about Google and the Android OS. What he stated about Google and Android is true, even though not 100% true, but most of it are true. And also, Android will definitely going to be faded slowly, maybe not next year, but in the very near future. Because this is just how things works in this world, nothing is made to last forever. Windows Phone OS is definitely a new things of the future, not because it is the best OS, but just because it offers new experience and new outlook to user...the same with Meego OS.
