Apple did make Face ID and designed the panels that allowed for no chin and then ordered the displays from Samsung. The haptic engine, the alert clicker, touch ID, Siri, those were all innovations, albeit small. It's not that they don't innovate, it's that they don't innovate anything big frequently enough. They stick to small innovations as we can see and let others spend money in R&D.

These guys are incredibly unoriginal. Their white device looks like iPhone 8 Gold with a slight coppery feel, now they make this just the same as the iPhone 8 Red. The reason apple dominates is their quality and innovation that cant be matched. Everybody else just rides on Apples tailcoat, trying and failing to take a shot at the big boy...
