Herr Zeba, 03 Jul 2018You know, when I look at this press release image, I can't stop thinking that they will let us... moreIf you got the Note 8 for 500USD then good for you, I got the 256GB version back in November for a little more than 5000CNY and already I'm satisfied, it's more than 30% cheaper than the official price in China, IIRC.
You know, when I look at this press release image, I can't stop thinking that they will let users remap Bixby button. After all, Samsung is well known for listening to the users feedback. Two years after battery issue they are ready to finally bring decent capacity, so who knows what else they have planned. I bought used Note 8 and I love it! Wait 6+ months, get it much cheaper. I would not spend more than 500 for a phone.
Perhaps I am missing something but why would I want music controls on my S Pen when more than likely the headphones I'm using will have them anyway and probably make a better job of it. And of course the S Pen would now need a battery. Just seems like an utterly pointless gimmick to me, that causes more issues than it actually fixes. A fix to a problem I didn't have in the first place the caused a new problem I now do have as a result of something I didn't want in the first place. Even if my headphones don't have the controls by the time I've got the S-Pen out I might as well use the screen. I'm just really not seeing the point of it at all.
Alboooz, 02 Jul 2018Galaxy note edge have IR, never use that and it's installed app pel is anoying! My phone has IR blaster and I use it alot and my built in app is not annoying
It's been one year, with some improvement, makes you think twice or ten times to buy another note 8.
vrvly, 02 Jul 2018Well, you shove it "under screen"...What is the essential function of having fingerprint on the pen? Do we bring the pen at that often so we need to unlocking it by pen?
Unlock by connected-wearable devices are more useful.
Shanti Dope, 02 Jul 2018People with phones that have no IR Blaster don't know how epic would it be when you turn off s... moreYeah, the IR blaster let's you be a prick without anybody noticing, though I would like it just so I don't have to look for my remote control half the time. But it's not a deal breaker for me, though the amount of pranks I could pull with it.....
People with phones that have no IR Blaster don't know how epic would it be when you turn off someone's TV while many people are watching
Jamesschwarz987, 02 Jul 2018pen doesn't have screen, also it's useless to have it on pen.Well, you shove it "under screen"...
phone handset pen
remote spy-camera pen
unlocking pen - the phone only works if this is nearby
maybe even for writing on screen?
LG Superfan, 02 Jul 2018IR blaster is actually nice ideaGalaxy note edge have IR, never use that and it's installed app pel is anoying!
Inverted snowhuouV, 02 Jul 2018maybe, they also what to make the s pen like nintendo switch's joy con? Sounds cool..Its a nice idea, but it is small. Though you could think of a infrared pointer and use it like a gun, but which apps will support that. :p
Gameplay interest me
ALMBO6, 02 Jul 2018What's the meaning of asking someone to get a life? Technically: it's an insult. But I don't have any intention to, I mean that the person needs to do more important stuff than "trolling"
They also patented an alcohol blower inside the S-pen, maybe we will get that in the Note 10. xD
Maybe its hidden "under screen" fingerprint scanner on the pen that will slide/pop out. And you can use it as a keys to phone you won't unlock otherwise. Maybe even as keys to your house. So many possibilities... :)
