Why iPads use higher preforming chips than same gen iPhones? For awesome preformance! That's what I need. And personally I would prefer a current year flagship chip on a tablet.

I mean, a last year chip wasn't bad if it is already powerful enough to do everything and keeping the cost low as well.

How many people actually willing to pay a lot of money for a Android tablet these days, anyway.

How often does people these days actually willing to pay high price for a Android tablet? Cause if the price are sane or higher than iPad, people are most likely going for a iPad instead.

We ALREADY have the SD845 FOR quite some time. So why it's not implemented in the tablets? That's why I'm being a nitty gritty.

Who needs the home button?? No need finger print also.. waste of time.

This is a perfect tablet. Couple with a flip cover, and a iris scanner will be enough.

And with the new OS Android design, just flick and swipe like iPhone X design. Finally a move away from the silly 3 button crap.

LOOK at iPads.. people rarely use home buttons due to the hand gestures, and can't wait to get rid of the touchID.. because its a CHORE to flip open.. and STILL have to press the touchID to unlock.

The next iPad will also follow this design. NO BUTTONS, just faceID.

This looks more sleek than Tab S3. I like it. Idk why people think this is ugly. The front looks less busy without any buttons and branding. The new aspect ratio allows it to feel more like a tv in landscape mode. The specs upgrade level is on point too. Dont start nitpicking on the SD835.

This Tab S4 is the highest offering in a tablet ever get from Qualcomm. You wouldnt find a SD845 tablet. Unless you guys prefer Apple ipad Pro with A10X Fusion processor. Go for that if you think a mere SD835 super weak for a tablet. For android, it is either this Tab S4 or Huawei Mediapad M5 Pro with Kirin 960. That is the best flagship android tablet in 2018 so far.

There are also the windows 10 alternative like Surface pro. Some SD835 powered windows 10 tablet also exist like Asus Novago, HP Envy x2, Lenovo Miix 630 and so on. Like I said, flagship tablet market is very small. Mostly ruled by Apple ipad devices. So, quit complaining and appreciate what is given here.

The lack of fingerpring sensor, or even a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, would be a real bummer.
Rear or side mounted works on smartphone because you will end holding it in a way where your finger will be in the good position. But for a tablet, there are multiple way to hold one, and the only place that stays relatively easy to reach with your finger, not matter the way you hold the tablet, is the home button

Android tablet are pretty much good as dead when iPad are around 300 something dollars, and a entry level Android tablet ( that somewhat just working fine) are asking for 150 to 200 and a decent one are around 200 to 300 dollars, and let's not talk about the high specs one (like this one with SD 8xx series). But still came with a lot of useless apps and heavily customized version of Android!

If Android tablet really wanted to survive, then OEM must make them by using the Android One version of the OS on pair decent specs. Clean Android OS is the way to go.

Looks like somebody beat it up with the Ugly stick. Looks horrible, they could've stuck with S3 design but reduced the size of the bezels on the side by a little bit.

This isn't bad, the extra screen real estate will be useful for watching stuff and could be used as a drawing pad
