Hshrdn, 17 Sep 2018Hello me too used At&t. I have used in asia. How can i update this phone 8.0Connect the phone to your computer, then use the LG PC Suite. The app will tell you that there's an update available to your device.
LGV20 and was looking for a V30 when I realized my H918 model is not upgraded past 7.0 so by by LG. I am not going to pay for a phone that doesn't even keep up with the rest of the million dollar phones they are putting out....
Funny like year ago ereo has been released but only now LG is giving it to its devices.
What a joke.
I'd be surprised if any g5 or v20 are still alive. Mine g5 crapped out 7 months ago. Barely made a year and a half.
G5 ... are you serious LG. Even the LG G6 has not received a single update since launch .... and just one security patch (still stuck on March 30). It's all HYPE and nothing else.
Anonymous, 05 Jul 2018How about G5SE?Not sure why you would expect updates on a midrange when they're struggling to update the flagships
I guess my Asia version of V20 is going to just be stuck in N forever.... LG has no interest in updating older flagships.
I'm using a AT&T LG G5 (H820) ..
It is Carrier Unlocked and I'm Using it In Sri Lanka (Asia) ..
Will I Get The Update When LG Roll Out it??
I've been so confused on why, this is such a powerhouse, launched with Nougat first than even the migthy Pixels of yours. The V20 should at least get Oreo, and rightfully get Android P too. The SD820 is still beffy and these phones are packing a punch.
I'm on an AT&T LG V20.
The V20 had its Oreo kernel sources uploaded months ago. That means nothing. It would be great to see the G5 and V20 updated to Oreo, but I doubt LG would go further in supporting these phones. At least they will set a new anti-record of updating a flagship phone's Android version.
I emailed LG Taiwan a few weeks ago to see when Oreo was coming.. their reply word for word was, there is no plans for Oreo for this model.
My model is the H860
Im hoping they were wrong but somehow I think they knew nothing is coming for this model :(
long awaited OS update for flagship ancestor. and the problem is .. if there is a bug.. it ends. no fix. no update. no more.
Hope they will also give us driver updates in the future. Instead of only an andriod updates.
