It's always nice to have more to choose from! And I wish more phones came with IrDA: sure, Bluetooth has eclipsed it completely concerning data transfer, but IrDA is still useful for applications like TV remote control.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if other Orange-affiliated operators (like Optimus - no, not the Android line from LG - from Portugal) also had it for sale in the near future.
