Anonymous, 09 Jul 2018LMOA They can barelly beat them in Asia, and you hope them to even remotely compete in the US?Man but they did.
Most contries sells more Xiaomi devices than Apple devices.
Or do you think that everybody can affiord 1000 for a phone?
I can afford that but i wont spend a penny on this greedy moneyhungry company which gives me nothing in return just a zillions scars on face.

You do realize that Apple makes a lot more stuff than iPhones, right? Would be nice to clarify you're talking about dropping Intel chips from phones, cuz this article is currently just a clickbait.

Walter C. Dornez, 08 Jul 2018True, though that's Slovakia. Over here in America, well.....everybody has a Samsung or Apple phone But even in USA i dont believe that people will pay 500 dollars for fixing the screen if they can take along for example J5 2017 for 200 dollars.

Apple's partners do not learn from history.
Once Apple's engineers learnt everything about their techs, Apple will dump them.

Apple is killing each and every companies. Friend or for doesn't matter. I got really sad that apple is killing PowerVR division of imagination technology. It is their salary for making worlds best GPUs customized for apple for a long time. Now Intel. Who is next?

I work for one of largestt stores which sells phones and accesorize here in Slovakia.
For example if person breaks the screen on Apple X and have to pay 500 they rather go for new phone for up to 200 euros or keep working on a phone with broken screen.
Same for Samsung flagships. Noone here is willing to pay 300+ for repairs.
From my own experience i can say only 1 person i can remember from hundreds paid 340 for fixing S7 edge when the phone was brand new almost 2 years ago. But thats only one exception i can remember and i work here for several years.

I'm not expecting Chinese copycats to win against apple on its home ground
Its either gonna be Sammy, Huawei(If trump can get over his paranoia about Chinese spying on US), Sony(if they can get their act straight).

Zenodroid, 06 Jul 2018They are going all Samsung chips again? Probably not, since Mediatek has been trying to convince Apple to use its 5G modems and chips, instead of Intel. I heard that they reached some kind of agreement. Perhaps this is it
