H-1, 07 Jul 2018I'm from Syria, the device is being sold here for about $895 which is more than S9+ (~$770) P2... moreWell dont think so.
They lost 67% of profit compared to klast year and this September they gonna sack 2500 people from HTC headqurters. HTC Ceo is really stupid.
Earning millions in wages and cant keep prices as low as xiaomi.
This they signed the last rites.
I was a die-hard HTC phone until they made the HTC One where you have to put the camera or I should see the phone in the freezer in a plastic bag and take it out to take a picture that was the end of my relationship with HTC now I am a Galaxy phone their problem is do you make their phones so expensive like they want to make a big one time. Make this phone so very expensive and they made the batteries for these phones so small especially with the ones with the 6-inch screen it's like they're going backwards. As soon as you take it off the charger you have to go find a plug to make sure it stays charged so you can barely have it for one day you can use your phone how you want you always have to be looking for a charger with the small ass batteries I'm sorry I cannot go back
I'm not HTC fan but I don't want HTC's death as I'm not a hater. So try to survive.
AnonD-731363, 07 Jul 2018Man compared to competition it will never sells for the money HTC is asking for.
Thats blame... moreI'm from Syria, the device is being sold here for about $895 which is more than S9+ (~$770) P20 Pro (~$850) and XZ2 (~$720)
Still, ironically, I saw one flashing it in the street the other day. There are still people who buy based on looks alone.
So maybe it will close business next year.
HTC is finished.. it is already happening and has been for the last 2-3 years. What we are witnessing now is the last we will see from them. U11/+ and U12 makes that pretty clear. And before that the hopelessly overpriced and underspecced U Ultra..
Ouch.. thats what happens when you over several years make products that nobody wants to buy. I remember HTC from my very first smartphone Desire and Desire Z.. great phones but since then it has been going downhill. They have also over the years suffered from inferior quality.
Common HTC, how hard is it to figure out what the consumers want? Just put a Samsung amoled display, big battery, a headphone jack and lose the lousy touch volume/power buttons. And either partner with the carriers, or take the oneplus approach to marketing and pricing...
Pray for HTC. :-D
This company hasn't got long to survive.
All this negative news about HTC really explains why my U11 was and is buggy straight out of the box, and would not install any prompted update by bricking half way through the process each and every time. This company continued to do business and take our money even though it is a dead heap and can't deliver proper user experience. The sooner they switch off that faux life support the better for all innocent would-be customers.
Jed Cutler, 06 Jul 2018Products are great. But poor marketing and poor after-sales service continue to kill them.Products are mediocre. They keep using poor displays, lousy batteries and on top of that they think they sell something extraordinary and they have prices out of this world. And I'm talking about their so called flagships. It's quite natural their revenues fall all the time.
H-1, 07 Jul 2018Maybe bad for water resistance but better shock absorption?
The phone itself isn't bad, it is... moreMan compared to competition it will never sells for the money HTC is asking for.
With the set-up prices HTC will close its bussiness this year.
Come on HTC you can do better I hope you do
Bring back the headphone jack, that simple. Made no sense to get rid of it in the first place.
For some reason, HTC seems to even more stubborn than Sony ( which consider the Japanese are a quite stubborn people ).
HTC's phone needs to change their design and the way they do business. If HuaWei, XiaoMi, Oppo, Vivo etc are doing better than HTC these days. Then HTC really needs to think outside of the box!
Note7 owner, 07 Jul 2018The last HTC I had was the infamous m9. The SD810 chip is rubbish and I’m truly shocked to see... morewarm still much better than blown, if you read news, SoC SD810 the one fail, even motorola didn't manage to cool it, samsung opted not to used at all because no capability to cooled it.
pls give proper solution like, price close to iphone bur poor software update etc
"One of the weakest flagship phones of 2018."
I don't know if I can "Help This Company" this time.
R.I.P. HTC Mobile Division
TechyBoi, 06 Jul 2018Htc=Help This CompanyLol I hate that you made me laugh!
Who tell you to learn from LG?
If you want to make money, you should learn from a top seller, like apple/Samsung/hwawei/, not LG v30.
Jed Cutler, 06 Jul 2018I must be lucky as I don't have these issues on my U12+ :)Yes, lucky indeed. And luck should not guide anyone towards any £750 purchase. Though I am pleased you like it.
