AnonD-731363, 06 Jul 2018U 12 is best crap ever check Jerryrigseverything on youtube channel .Maybe bad for water resistance but better shock absorption?
The phone itself isn't bad, it is definitely better than the U11, but still bad compared to the competition.
Anonymous, 06 Jul 2018Only their prices have kept up with the times. Truth is when im in the market for a new pho... moreShould have partnered with LG, and used their oled, or even LCD. Also kept the 4000mA battery. Problem solved.
Jed Cutler, 06 Jul 2018Products are great. But poor marketing and poor after-sales service continue to kill them. They're good, but not great. Though the marketing would have helped shift more inferior products, I'll give you that. Build a device that is less capable than the predecessor, with minimal marketing and sketchy distribution channels, a failure should be expected.
Oppaii, 06 Jul 2018Poor advertising. They let chinese craps to take away their spotlight and this happens.Lol htc from taiwan. So they are chinese company.
Jed Cutler, 06 Jul 2018Products are great. But poor marketing and poor after-sales service continue to kill them.Major HTC fan here. Their camera quality was inconsistent during the HTC One M7 period, and they could never recover financially after the phone failed to sell as well as they 'd hoped.
The last HTC I had was the infamous m9. The SD810 chip is rubbish and I’m truly shocked to see HTC still peddling that junk in 2018 in the HTC 10 EVO. These guys are shameless. On top of the hand warmer sd810, the m9 was an ergonomical nightmare. HTC has real deep problems, perhaps a change of ownership is needed.
Their products are late to the market, screen quality not as good as amoled
Jed Cutler, 06 Jul 2018Products are great. But poor marketing and poor after-sales service continue to kill them.Parts are great, buy not all parts. Take the U12+, screen is simply not contending, when compared to other flagships, battery is average but rendered impotent by the screen. The buttons have been universally panned, they simply are not as good as physical buttons. The cameras are great, thou is on the front, as they used to do, would have made them better. No headphone jack, that's tricky, but hardly a more desirable than having one. Wireless charging, a cheap addition, and like the headphone jack, should be added, if only for flexibility. The glass back, so tired and I'm amazed that companies carry on with it, reviewers really shoulder the blame for this. Their sound recording and output are top notch, really good. So, cameras and sound aside, they made a poor device, much of which was a clear downgrade from the U11+.
The scariest part, is the quote "sales fell below expectations", who's expectations? Not mine, nor any commenter her, nor any reviewer anywhere. The fact that they produced a downgraded device, with limited markets, with limited marketing means to me that any sales levels/profits are likely Above my expectations.
Products are great. But poor marketing and poor after-sales service continue to kill them.
Anonymous, 06 Jul 2018Poor screen, embarrassing battery, buttons that don't work.I must be lucky as I don't have these issues on my U12+ :)
Anonymous, 06 Jul 2018The smaller-than-it-should-have-been battery and continued use of LCD displays is what killed ... moreBetter wait for the Huawei Gaming phone, i feel like it's gonna be a great one. I wanna advice you against going for Razer. Their products are over expensive and aren't that reliable (bought an expensive mouse from them and the buttons stopped working after ~7 month).
Oppaii, 06 Jul 2018Poor advertising. They let chinese craps to take away their spotlight and this happens.Chinese craps? Are you living in 2010 or 2019 mate
Only their prices have kept up with the times.
Truth is when im in the market for a new phone HTC doesnt even come to mind anymore.
They should just sell the company now while its still worth something.
Poor advertising. They let chinese craps to take away their spotlight and this happens.
Anonymous, 06 Jul 2018Only 2 reasons: 1. Ugly design 2. Poor baterry performance Poor screen, embarrassing battery, buttons that don't work.
U12+ is best HTC ever
Their prices are the first turn off looking at the fact that the cut back on stuff like ram, storage etc I hate those huge bezels too
Chitti- The Robot, 06 Jul 2018More like Sony should take over HTC. Sony feels a tad right path-ed when compared to HTC.Sny? They barelly selling if they buy HTC they can declare bancrupt as well .
Joy to the world
HTC is dead
Their egos is bigger than their head
They brought this upon themselves
With so many stocks on shelves
And heaven and nature sings
And heaven and nature sings
Less trash for mother earth
