If Xiaomi really loves and values the Redmi 5 Plus, they would at least listen to us and fix their damn sh*tty microphone noise cancelling software that makes audios sound abnormally bad (imagine the worst microphone quality in a 2018 flagship phone, and make it 10x worse, that's the sound quality of my Redmi 5 Plus's microphones).
They fixed it on the Note 5 Global, will do it with the Mi A1, and basically every Xiaomi phone but my Redmi 5 Plus.
You see, the Note 5 Pro's just $20 more expensive but already launches with Oreo and is significantly more powerful than the Redmi 5 Plus. It was very clear that they wanted everyone to skip the 5 Plus and get the 5 Pro instead.
