Is it a multiple camera war, or are we getting beautiful or something?
The inclusion of a 120° degree ultrawide rear camera is perfect. Finally, Samsung's flagship phones with that ultrawide shooter similar to those found in LG's flagships are making sense in the camera department. In a Facebook-obsessed crowd who buy expensive flagship smartphones year in and year out, just because they want the best smartphone camera for capturing the best photos for posting to Facebook, I simply cannot comprehend the stupid absence of an ultrawide shooter in a dual or multiple rear camera system. The regular rear shooter found in most smartphone cameras are actually regular wideangle. Only good for people only photos. Facebook posts of majority of users are mostly about travel, vacation and social photos. What better way to garner more interest, interaction and likes than to emphasize more the beauty of the background city scenario, the beauty of an indoor hotel architecture or the grand view of beaches, mountains, waterfalls or other natural landscapes in the shots rather than emphasizing the uninteresting foreground (person/people) to the detriment of the beautiful background scene. Facebook has always been riddled with mediocre, boring and lifeless photos simply because not many smartphone cameras are equipped with ultrawide shooters. And no, panoramic stitching does not, can not, and will never substitute for an ultrawide shot. Panoramic stitching is not only slow, error-prone, cumbersome and time-consuming, it is also utterly boring and lifeless, lacking any semblance of life, artistic character, or professional look.
A8/+ like selfie cameras with OIS?
I'm curious on this feature.
AnonD-119751, 09 Jul 2018Lg V10 has dual front camera 3 years ago, what is the big deal about it. LG dual 5mp front cam not a big deal either. In fact, it is the most terrible implementation of dual selfie cam on a phone. Nothing is done right with it.
Imagine if samsung came to notch, samsung "S notch infinity " or "samsung Notch 9" or samsung notch x maybi will be hilarious lol.....please samsung do not make that...what will happen with infinity display.
Lg V10 has dual front camera 3 years ago, what is the big deal about it.
.DeadPool., 09 Jul 2018Who care anymore :DLiterally most of the people on this site. If you haven't noticed, there's a HUGE samsung fan base
Anonymous, 09 Jul 20183 cameras will more lag to take a pic.. samsung just heard that apple will integrate 3 lenses ... moreIronically, you are the one that cared the most, so there's at least one that care :)

LG Superfan, 09 Jul 2018Call them S10 Lite, S10 and S10 PlusI'm wondering where they gonna put Note 10 next year. Is it going to be S10 plus with stylus (and 200 dollar price difference)
Luxor, 09 Jul 2018Sometimes, looking at price is not an option if you want something with higher quality and bet... moreWell said buy a premium phone with premium price and it will last years but the smartphone industry is way too wide and there are alot of options which provide the same if not better experience as big brands especially chinese manufacterers they are growing fast and can dethrone the top dogs if dont adapt and lower their price or be innovative, chinese have gone from copy cats cheap alternative to innovative and are growing sure they dont have the most original design but look at everything else its comparable to top brands and people are starting to understand that brand does not mean everything the days when you would carry a samsung or apple and be cool are coming to an end if not ended people are now going for value phones which satisfies them doesnt cost an arm or a leg this is also one of the reasons chinese phones are so popular now
Anonymous, 09 Jul 20183 cameras will more lag to take a pic.. samsung just heard that apple will integrate 3 lenses ... moreNo 3 cameras will not take noticeably long to take picture SoCs are powerful enough to handle it perfectly Huawei already did it and no I dont think this year iPhone will have 3 cameras
Hey someone out there, from you know what, would say "time to make a copy"
Anonymous, 09 Jul 2018So what is the price shamesung?? 1200$ or 1500$ 3 cameras will more lag to take a pic.. samsung just heard that apple will integrate 3 lenses - now they are jumping ..
please samsung first see apple's integration, then make your cheap , laggy copy. otherwise you will end up like bixby - no one cares, nobody opens.
I wonder how it will compare with Pixel 3 and if Google will ever upgrade to a multi-camera setup in order to compete with all of this. Most likely this Samsung won't be the only five camera phone of 2019 if the trend becomes popular. I bet Chinese OEMs' flagships will also follow (and I don't think there's anything wrong with that)
