Imagine S19+ having premium price already, good to have sony stay on earth with "Premium" pricing.

Look at the eyes for example, they ... moreNow with iso going 50.000 to 100.000 and quality skyrocketing using multiple sensors, stacking and dedicated isp's, I wish to see more of small apertures rising, would be awesome for videos, macro,... more pro shooting, closer to dslr.
For now just samsung. Time to copy copycats. And Sony, they are really slow in copying features, and in camera field it should be of double speed. I really wish they change that, but will they?

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2018I dont need 2 selfie cameras. It will only make the phone more unnecessarily expensive. That's why there are three different models. Budget, standard, luxury. That is a very common thing to do in other industries but people act like its an issue with phones.
Toyota has Corolla, Camry, and Avalon.
Sony has PS4, Slim, Pro
You still get a choice.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2018For the price you have an more decent phone if you buy it from an other manufacterer.Sometimes, looking at price is not an option if you want something with higher quality and better experience. Not just Samsung but all the other brand too. Dont keep relying on cheapness for the sake of saving money.

Regardless of all the hybole reviews of certain smartphone cameras, the developments in smartphone photography in terms of actualy quality of photos, since the Samsung S6 has been mostly incremental. The Pixel 2 has a little better dynamic range than most other smartphones (in most shooting conditions), but considering the improvements in smartphone sensor technology (BSI and DRAM), multi-core processors with more ISPs, much better computational photography algorithms, dual camera and triple camera setups etc.
The Huawei P20 Pro seems to push things in the right direction.
I think we should look forward to:
1. Movement to a better codec than the 8-bit JPEG. The 10bit HEIF codec is a good move and the fact that Android is adopting it in Android P is reassuring for the future of smartphone photography.
2. More smartphones with 3 and more cameras, with better Computational Photography algorithms combined with better ISPs in processors, resulting in much better results.
3. More advanced and faster smartphone sensors, helping in improving photos by stacking more images much faster (reduced noise, better low light details and sharper images).
I think 3x zooms is a good initiative. Though 5x zooms is evem better 😁

every single woman i know takes smart phones ability to shoot selfies seriously, image quality etc. this dual selfie camera thing is a good step towards them, to me (regular guy) not so much, but aside from the cost angle extra stuff can't hurt me either :)
