Benchmark on par with Huawei P20 Pro. Might get higher with finalised version. Seem good so far.

MarcioR, 09 Jul 2018Same score as the snapdragon 835Yes in CPU because it uses the same cores but manufactured on 16nm but in GPU department Kirin 970 falls behind Adreno 540.

Excited for this, but on one condition: they fixed the display. The (also) Samsung amoled display wasn't tuned the right way on the Honor Note 8, so black crush was very visible. That's unforgivable for ANY company to slip through. For that reason I had to sell My Honor Note 8. Unacceptable if they messed up again!
