SKR..., 10 Jul 2018Why aren't brands focusing on giving any competition to Xiaomi? For a 12K budget why would any... moreBecause Xiaomi aggressively cuts costs. Lean R&D, minimal advertising, cheap labor, distribution, outsourcing, etc. Sure they aren't a market leader/innovator, but who cares? As long as phones are sold in large numbers for cheap, they'll have customers.

I do not understand - is Motorola trying to commit suicide? 425 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage in 2018? People would rather opt for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 with way better specs at the same price. Seriously, who will be dumb enough to purchase E5 and E5 plus?

The huge 4000/5000mah battery are not easy to find in other phone. Stock android lovers would flock at Motorola as usual. Xiaomi dont offer anything alike except for the Mi A1 and A2.

Why aren't brands focusing on giving any competition to Xiaomi? For a 12K budget why would anyone buy a phone with Snapdragon 430? If Moto is only the choice then people would rather prefer last year's Moto G5S Plus at the same price with much better specs! It's a clean win for Xiaomi!!!

Motorola is going backward by giving 2 years old processor to this phone. How is Motorola planning to manage sales with this kind of strategy. Specs are nowhere close to MI and Asus phones sailing at same or lesser cost.

Overpriced low end phones.. no innovation in design, people are forces to hoard toward companies like Xiaomi..
