I used S3 before but dumped it after a month for the annoying pop ups and lagging. Tried honor 7e, honor 8, and P9 . Gave a chance for S8 but traded it for Mate 10 after just 2 weeks for same old reasons added with misplaced finger print and poor battery management.
That's the reality, personal preferences and needs varies that these OEMs should cope up with-,-

Sony's been using it for ages, they had it called "Superior Auto". It's just a thing related to the camera software, there's no real intelligence in the phone itself beside it being an android..

Dominique, 11 Jul 2018Check how they use their Exynos on their Js,As and flagship lines. They may not be sharing sam... moreSorry but I used an Honor 6x and a J7 Prime. Quality wise and software wise they're incomparable. The friggin 6x is bent just from sitting on it once while the J7 gave me a bruised eye just from sleeping on it.
Currently I'm using the S9 Plus, my gf is using the mate 10. Quality wise they're both good but there's no comparing them when it comes to software and camera.. That's why I'd always go for Samsung. Smooth UI, excellent camera, great build quality.. they just make all rounders, not phones that excell at a specific thing and fail and other things (You know, things like performance WHICH the 970 falls behind at).
The main thing why I hate Huawei phones is their marketing. Literally, spam the market and come up with childish ads to sometimes great and classy phones... that ruins it (it's why I ditched the 6x after two months LOL they called it swag phone 😂😂)

They may not be sharing same numbered chips but juggling on their other specs to suit their "price segments". Now, on Huawei's own strategy, their using the Kirin chip as selling factor without the "number" playing. Isn't it good for the consumers? For sure it's not good for Sammy as it can't afford to lower their prices to be in the fight. -,-

If the Nova 3 or Nova 3i costs the same as the Mate 10 Lite/Nova 2i from last year, the price to spec range is criminally low and that's awesome. I wish it keeps the 12000 PH peso price range just like last year.

Dominique, 11 Jul 2018P10 and nova 2s used the same Kirin 960 before, so it's not so surprising for nova 3 to use 97... moreThe naming are different between countries..as example in my country Mate 10 lite named as Nova 2i here which is using Kirin 659.
