Herr Zeba, 12 Jul 2018I have MacBook Pro mid 2008 and it still works (CD drive died and as card seldom allows write)... moreEvery PC laptop I owned lasted about 4-5 years, you are really something, to make them last a couple of months.
Herr Zeba, 12 Jul 2018I have MacBook Pro mid 2008 and it still works (CD drive died and as card seldom allows write)... morewhat the hell are you doing to your computers if they last a few months?
Anonymous, 12 Jul 2018What in the world is your problem? The logic of apple and it's consumers.
xyrotic, 12 Jul 2018lmao buy all those cable for future proofing .Buying 3 cables for hdmi, vga and dispaly port is cheaper than buying one dongle that doesn't them all and one usb 3.0, while i have 3-5 usb 3.0 and one more thunderbolt port plus a mic and an audio jack, oh yeah an sd card reader as well. So how come i pay less for more, can customize it towards what i need and i look like the one missing out on the future that will come after i buy my next notebook and for you never since what i've noticed apple products are so future proofed their illogical.
Herr Zeba, 12 Jul 2018I have MacBook Pro mid 2008 and it still works (CD drive died and as card seldom allows write)... moreI have 2004 Centrino Toshiba laptop running on WIn XP, it still works. Even the display and CD drive is fine. So your point is moot.
I also have my 2009 dual core Samsung laptop still going strong. Changed adapter once, no other issues.
Currently using Asus ROG. Other two laptops used for NAS
I have MacBook Pro mid 2008 and it still works (CD drive died and as card seldom allows write). Much slower than it used to be, but it works! None of my pc laptops lasted more than couple of months. I used 2016 MacBook and 2017 and they are great pieces of technology. Even if overpriced, I still see a lot of value in them, which I cannot say about iPhones.

In my opinion, I would just get a good PC for much less. If I want good configuration, I'll just upgrade it. Apple will just keep charging exorbitant prices. I don't want to keep carrying a computer wherever I go; my phone is causing enough trouble already :/
Anonymous, 12 Jul 2018And the ports of the 2015 are not "better", they are just more. However, the ports of the 2018... morelmao buy all those cable for future proofing .

Oh wait, you like having a dongle for everything, including your stick. Guess you are future proofing for consuming i like future proofing for less consuming as do many folk who don't buy crapple products.
Well when apple will sell its notebooks for price of HP notebooks or Xiaomi phones i will find interests othervise i wont spend a penny on this overpriced garbage worth not even half the price they asking for.
Paying 50% of device price for apple sticker on it its not my cup of cofee.
Kangal, 12 Jul 2018Lol true. I still think the best laptop Apple makes is the Early-2015 MacBook Pro 13" Retina.... moreAnd the ports of the 2015 are not "better", they are just more. However, the ports of the 2018 are more future proof. If you buy some different cables, the only thing you may miss are MagSafe and the SD Card Reader
Kangal, 12 Jul 2018Lol true. I still think the best laptop Apple makes is the Early-2015 MacBook Pro 13" Retina.... moreThe batteries of the new ones are much bigger compared to the 2017, so the difference between 2015 and 2018 is not as big anymore.
[deleted post]Lol true.
I still think the best laptop Apple makes is the Early-2015 MacBook Pro 13" Retina. Its slightly downgraded in some specs compared to the 2017, and now, 2018 models. However, as a practical laptop it is better because it has a much better keyboard, ports, and battery size.
I was lucky to get mine in Mid-2015 at a 34% off. I see no reason to upgrade.
And if I do, it will probably be to a Windows Laptop... I cannot stand the "dongle life".
refreshes the processor but no mention on the scandalous keyboard. smart move apple
32GB? Come on ..The P52 will handle 128GB
Luxor, 12 Jul 2018I thought Apple getting rid of Intel soon. That was for iPhone modems. They might still be working on beastly AsomethingX and make macOS compatible with ARM, and then bridge x86 apps or offer a tool to convert them.
