Shuvo, 13 Jul 2018The colour combination of blue and yellow is horrible, awful, weird and absurd.Minion version!
There's nothing much to expect, that phone looks like Galaxy Note 8 Minor FaceLift. The innovation is stuck for a moment.
I hope the pen will be color matching to the note... I hate it when the pen itself is different colored than the phone
Anonymous, 13 Jul 2018I totally agree as a note 8 user. My next phone will be the note 10 not 9. Always used the not... moreThe note 2 still holds a precious spot for me. Its still a very capable device. Huge leap compared to the first. And only in the last couple years started being less of a reasonable affordable option to people. More so because Samsung gipped it by not even letting the beta for the 5.0 they were working out and leaving it on KitKat. Though it can run custom roms like a champ. Nothing official past 4.4 for some features if the phone or for apps that require a stock or stock like software.
But processor, battery, display, features, headphones qualities??
Top notch still. Heck the audio quality in headphones thanks to the Wolfson dac is still better than any current snapdragon running device.
And KitKat is still a nice looking and good running interface. I like the look of it better than some new ones. But not supported as well anymore. And you can get one from about 40-70 bucks online.
But you can get a note 4 online 70-120 now and you can't beat that value with any other device.
Luxor, 13 Jul 2018That reminds me of the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic edition. Very colorful. Yeah it was pretty good looking
s-pen pusher, 13 Jul 2018I did upgrade to the Note 8 last year but had to sell it because I didn't like the curved edge... moreI played around with it when it was on display in the store.
But it seemed so unproductive. I dont want the sides of my web browser or whatever to disappear off the edge so that I need to turn the phone a little.
BrokenLawShaw, 13 Jul 2018Oh you people always want more. People complain for the sake of complaining and still they're ... moreThere's always room for improvement, you just don't see it over the hype.
Firstly, that great design. For you. Curved screen looks nice, but creates more problems than gives advantages. Edge shortcuts can be done without the curve and a palm rejection software has to be introduced, eating another chunk of energy and cpu power. Then, there's the fragile back glass, that looks great, even I'll admit it, but you need an ugly case to protect it. So, another room for improvement. They have the R&D department to deal with it.
Second, the S Pen. It will be BT capable now, meaning there will be a battery inside it. How big of a battery can fit there? Not big enough to get the work done. And it will charge from the phone itself, that's why it needs a bigger one.
Few other things you mentioned: more storage options mean more costly options, more often unreasonably more costly. SoC might be a bit improved over the S9, it had some issues. Better Bixby? Since it speaks only a few languages, for most of the people it's just a waste of a button. Benchmark scores... who cares about those anymore.
And what year do we live in, that a headphone jack in a phone is an achievement? 2008?
I'm not saying the Note 9 will be a bad phone. Quite the opposite, it will be a very good phone, compared to others. Problem is, the whole industry went to sh!t, since all phones are the same and look almost the same.
That's why people want more. Because manufacturers are not giving us more than before. Or at least, not enough to justify the costs.

My next phone will be the note 10 not 9. Always used the note since note 2. My note 2 still works good no lag. The note are a totally different breed of phones. There is no Apple or Sony or nothing comes close to it. The size is ok it fits in my jean pockets. Difficult to lose this phone. Love it !
Salah, 12 Jul 2018It's time for Note9 to have a 4k Display as well. 2K is fine on a phone this size

Most plastic phone these day immitate the looks of glass or metal but it is still plastic. That is a good sign; for budget phone at least. People simply want the premium 'looks'.
Used to always wonder what people meant when they talked about misaligned holes but that bottom is truly horrific

An ugly case.
Probably not going to upgrade to the note9 from my note8, but that doesn't retract from the sheer utility of the upcoming note.
Oh you people always want more. People complain for the sake of complaining and still they're never satisfied. First of all that's a gold S-Pen, not yellow and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 design was the best design in the whole smartphone market. You cannot improve an already perfect design what Samsung offers, every year as next design is for S10 and Note 10. This phone will come with HUGE battery improvement , Bluetooth capable S-Pen, Better SoC, better Storage variant of 512 gigs, better fingerprint sensor placement, better camera than ever, better stereo speakers, better Bixby assistant, better benchmark scores, best performance, no notch, Improved Infinity display, will have the best display of all other smartphones, great Screen to body ratio, a HEADPHONE JACK that few other flagships offer... Now what else you people want? IMO this phone will be the best phone money can buy.
YOU WILL NOT FIND A PHONE BETTER THAN THIS ONE
