Battery life, always on display, reliability - plus HR and GPS is nice to have.
Right now I use Xiaomi Huami Bip that ticks all those boxes.
Even my wife uses one.

PeterThePanda, 15 Jul 2018Almost considered buying one. But changed my mind after seeing how big and clunky many of them are. they actually arent much bigger than most of the big and expensive ones. rolex, casio, camel and so on. unless you are after a watch that only shows the basic. the clock, date and maybe a timer.
clear screen, no matter the light around. water resistant. long battery life. works perfectly with android, no matter brand.

If they can invent some system like what automatic watches do (charging via wrist movement like what automatic watches do) that'll be a great improvement.
None. Smartwatches are still fashion accessories at best that depend on your phone for full functionality. Maybe after 3 to 5 years they can be useful.
all of that option but no mention of the design? you know, something that has the look of executive and bold, like samsung s3 frontier.
To be honest, I still don't see anything that would be worth upgrading to from my fenix 3 HR.

These are the features that makes in my eyes a good smartwatch
Compact size. Did you ever seen all these huge smartwatches? Only Apple Watch looks good enough. Not like huge tumor.
Android Wear is dead because of Qualcomm. There is no good enough chips for smartwatches on Android to build good looking compact and at least few days working watches.
"all of the above", xd
lte should be higher considering data is important to receive messages, call out, navigate, etc
