So they can't be rooted anymore. At least not with their help.
If you ask me they're selling restricted smartphones. But I don't blame them. Their goal is to make profit and surveillance, not open-source Android products.

I can't access the fastboot mode (that is done using combo of power and ... moreIt's called XZDualRecovery. I've read about it on XDA Forum and downloaded it from here if I remember correctly: http://nut.xperia-files.com/path/XZDualRecovery/XZDualRecovery_2.8.26
You will need root in order to install it.
I'm not 100% sure you can install custom roms, I did it just to see if it works and also needed to perform a e2fsck on the main partition which can only be done if the drive is unmounted.

I can't access the fastboot mode (that is done using combo of power and one of the volume buttons) in my Xperia Z. I cannot install any rom because of locked bootloader.

Luxor, 15 Jul 2018Even the worker at a phone store dont even know when I ask them about this kind of thing. -_-Even something way simpler than this like an SSD, HDD, or SSHD the employees here in Singapore have to refer to the specification sheet and read everything from there which makes no difference when someone wants to know more about it lmfao... (In fact I know what it is and I'm just walking around the store feeling bored so why not test the employees?)
