Ash, 15 Jul 2018$280?? Lol don't be surprised if Samsung, htc or Google come out with a $600 phone with the sd710.That's a given. Granted, you might get more with it, not necessarily worth the extra hundreds of dollars, but they do improve the experience possibly.
Impressive that the power consumption is 30% better than the 660 when they have the same nm fabrication. Those kryo cores are special.

This is it, the SoC that should be the go to choice for upper midrange in H2 2018 - H1 2019. If only Mi 8 SE camera is not downgraded so much from Mi 8, I would definitely buy it to replace my Mi Note 3.
ChronoRad, 15 Jul 2018I wonder how it compares with Kirin 960. Honor 9 - 165k
Mi 8 SE - 170k
So maybe the QSD730 is there to fill the gap between QSD845 and QSD835. 4 Kryos based on A75 + 4 Kryos based on A55 with lower clock speed, weaker but still top-notch GPU plus QSD710 goodies. Would love to see the chipset once it unveiled
I think it's reasonable for a high mid-range to have comparable performance to (or better than) the flagship of two years before, and the low mid-range to have one comparable to flagships of 3 years before.
The 710 is inline with that, which is good news for people like me who want a reasonably priced device with good performance and software support.. part of that is OEM dependent of course.
660 fab is 14nm not 10nm according to Qcom. https://www.qualcomm.com/products/sdm660
Please fix
yy, 15 Jul 2018As good as 820/821. It's even better - OnePlus 3T scores 166k points, while the Mi 8 scores 170k here.
Walter C. Dornez, 15 Jul 2018So it sits just under Snapdragon 835, huh? That's amazing. In a 280 dollar phone, it's unheard of. Snapdragon 835 phones cost € 280 today. For example the Moto Z2 Force
