Anonymous, 17 Jul 2018And here I thought that bezels make an already big device even bigger. Thank you oh mighty ... moreIts true, the last couple of millimeters really only make the phone harder to hold without accidental touch, the frame less effective to protect against any shock that damages the screen. The benefit of a larger screen from these last millimeters is non-existent.
indoean, 17 Jul 2018actually, the display of the phone will break just the same, regardless of the bezel. it would... moreWell correct my X4 from Motorola is also glass made thus i have a quality sreen protector and a very thick book case made of leather.
CptPower, 16 Jul 2018I dont care about bezel thin bezels means easy to break screen on bottoms. actually, the display of the phone will break just the same, regardless of the bezel. it wouldn't be so, only if the glass would not cover the whole phone and a different material would be used over the bezels - but every phone nowadays uses the glass on the whole device - does it make sense? I might not be explaining it as well as I want to
Codeplayer, 17 Jul 2018No, I am precicely looking for a flagship that has really innovative engineeeing and flagship ... moreAnd here I thought that bezels make an already big device even bigger.
Thank you oh mighty one, you opened my eyes. Now I know that bezels are about appearance and my understanding that bezeled phones are bricks is all psychological.
Heck the understanding that I need new pants if I buy those bezeled phones is psychological too, my pockets should finally *learn* that bezels are about psychology and that they do not take any actual physical dimension.
Thank you for clearing that up.
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2018The phones you are looking for are called "Non-flagship devices". Meizu 16 is a flagship - if... moreNo, I am precicely looking for a flagship that has really innovative engineeeing and flagship to you can mean bezels, just the appearance. For me it means performance. It means that the device has as much innovative, latest features inside as possible within reasonable limits (20" display would be too much forinstance) less bezels simply make the phone harder to hold while watching something. Its too easy to touch solething accidentally. Flagship does not mean pretty or less bezels. It has no practical value, only usable for posing or status push for wannabes. The real value in a flagship device is how much it enchances yiu as android. And bezels dont do that, instead, they make you just look maybe a bit more retarded.
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2018make it 5" and billions of people will buy it.Yas!!! I agree here!
pl2rts, 16 Jul 2018If your careless then the large bezels wont help you in that part too. I have only once droppe... moreI always use a book case with a glass protector.
I always care for my phones.
And small bezzels huge bezzels without cover any phone is easy to break except rugger ones such as Sonim XP7 or 8 Or Cat S60 or 61 model.
paper Xcover 4 from crapsung cant compete.
Ugh, another large rounded edge-to-edge corner that bigger than the UI's status bar. Also, white front body color that would contrasts the black space when playing standardized 16:9 ratio video. This is why i hate nowadays trendy remote-mimic screen ratio.
Very beautiful. Etto.... Couldn't this be smaller than 6.5? AND STILL be flaghsip? 6^^;
CptPower, 16 Jul 2018I dont care about bezel thin bezels means easy to break screen on bottoms. If your careless then the large bezels wont help you in that part too. I have only once dropped my phone and it was something Sony Ericsson and it broke the screen so as it had something 1-2 inch screen it had no protection for the screen anyways. It's all about how lucky your drop will be
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2018The phones you are looking for are called "Non-flagship devices". Meizu 16 is a flagship - if... moreI would use FM Radio over 4G radio if the deem thing would not lag on my Redmi Note 5 AI. I use the 4G connection cause the FM Radio is pausing sound time to time and it's annoying. I dont know whats the problem with it but well who cares i have 15GB of internet to use per month and it's more then enough what i need.
Looks like Scamsung phones but compared to Scamsung this have less bezels and less price for a same quality and simmilar specs.
Anonymous, 16 Jul 2018The phones you are looking for are called "Non-flagship devices".
Meizu 16 is a flagship - if... moreThe M8c don't worth, lacks in cameras, SoC and connectivity. The Meizu E3 and Pro 6 Plus are good options at mid range now but with the lack of LTE B20 band. Their actual phones for the Global market aren't as good. At least for me, all of them lacks some LTE band here, some features demanded here, etc. Curiously the M6 Note was one of the best affordable phones with a good camera for its price available globally, although without FM Radio, something common at affordable phones, but now it's dated.
Aside, they are still stuck in Nougat and once they change to Oreo, probably like now, spend years stagnant with that version.
indoean, 16 Jul 2018not sure which part of the world you come from codeplayer, but most people actually do care ab... moreI remember that people gave so much vitriol to Sony over bezels not too long ago. We just look at threads about past Sony devices (especially threads on the Z series, sheesh).
