I tend to disagree with you though. It is indeed an innovation. They push the notch out of the display, they push the bezels a little bit. Although having a mechanical pop out is, for me, a bad idea executed rightly.

I cannot say that its futuristic since there is no innovation on the front camera, its a mechanical camera that pops-up From the top of the device that tends to break in time with normal or heavy use of the front camera.
